Mantle of Woe mod

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 12:55 am

I′m not going to lie, I′m very dull when it comes to mods. So I need the help of others, I can′t offer any help back in terms of modding but perhaps something else ? In any case what I need help with is either making or finding a mod to either change the Mantle of Woe or re-create it.

My problem stems from not being able to sleep outside in the sun when I have 21+ restore health on constant effect, when I am just walking around my enchanted items work as properly, the Mantle of Woe burns me for 20 damage and my other items make up for it by healing me for 21. But if I rest for some reason the Mantle of Woe works fine while my other items decide to take a break and stop healing me, because if I wait or rest in the sun I die.

I′d very much like it if I could have a Mantle of Woe with the exact same stats and everything, the reduced personality, the buffs, the weakness to normal weapons but the thing I want changed is to have the sun damaged changed into fire damage, this would fix my problem and I could still feel like I was not cheating too much since I still had the damage effect on.

I don′t know if I am asking for something I shouldn′t but is there anyone who can help me to either make or find a mod to achieve what I desire ?

Load Morrowind.esm and Bloodmoon.esm in the CS.
Select the Enchanting tab.
Double click on mantle_woe_en in the list of enchantments.
You'll see Sun Damage listed there on the left, click on it and change it to whatever you like.
Click Save when done.
Then save your esp. File->Save (name the esp whatever you like)

Then install the mod as you normally would.

Thank you very much, I was able to fix this "bug" as I′d call it (after all if I was healing more than I was taking damage, why would it matter if I was awake or sleeping ?) with your help.

The ring still damages me by 20 if I take all buffs off me so I consider it legit :P Oh and I′l be in your debt now I suppose, feel free to try me if you ever need help with any task (for example scholarly issues such as math) that can be done over the internet.
