once every 4 years, yes. after the mating season is over their shells are collected and assembled into something that vaguely resembles Dunmer bonemold, but more transparent and scalemail-like.

so it's transparent chitin armor?
huh, never noticed your location was Baltimore. I live in the greater upper marlboro area myself.

Welll... the landmass is obviously shrunk down and a lot of things are left out. Sutch didn't just disappear, after all. Similarly, there are hardware limitations on tree density and such. However, I suppose the novel can't really be handwaved away, huh?

I had the thing shipped to me on release, but never opened the thing until like last week. I'm still making my way through it... it still makes me sad to again realize that the Septims are all gone. :(

As for the Maryland thing, hmm. Wellllll, I suppose that kind of forest isn't too terrible a compromise. It definitely looks more green than Oblivion made it look. Is that you standing there?

Well, the alternative is to pretend the forest is just a game mechanic (like the miniaturized map, cities, etc) and only follow what the texts say. :P

Not a bad idea. Interpret the world as losely as the reader wants.
