RAGE. BUILDING.
When will they learn?
1. There's been a MILLION threads about this
2. The answer, for the millionth time, is NO. There will be NO console editor.
It cant be technically done. As it stands just opening the editor (Sandbox 2) uses around ~253mb of ram. That gives BOTH consoles an overhead of.... 3mb. Thats not even enough to make a blank level, let alone do anything. Secondly, it would be impossible to use sandbox 2 with a controller. Its designed around the PC, and can only be used on a PC. Flowgraphing would be impossible, and so would basically everything else apart from placing objects (which would be a pain).
Crytek hasnt said anything about a console editor, and being about 30 days from release and there still being no word on it, most likely means there isnt one. Combined with the technical impossibilities and the fact that there is no reason for Crytek to make a console editor (the PC editor is just the editor they used, minus the live create feature. No R+D required) allow me to say with 100% certainty that there will be NO console editor.
