Map of identifiable locations in the trailer.

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 9:24 pm

So I took all the locations from the trailer that have been identified with real world places, that I know of at least, and mapped them out using Google maps so that we can get a rough view of what area we saw in the trailer.

Sweet job, dude :tops:

I didn't realize how close Harvard was to MIT, so it will definitely be in the game IMO.

It's directly to the left of Scollay Square, in the sort of reverse L shaped block right next to the black box.

Forgot about that one.

Cool.

Considering how Bethesda scales down areas to a playable space, and from what we've seen in the trailer, it looks like these will all be somewhat close as part of a huge urban landscape. That's really exciting.

The USS Constitution was definitely in the trailer but it appears to have some kind of flying conversion on it. There is a possibility that its mooring has changed.

Other than that, nice work. :)

What's really promising is all of the water. And the fact that there's a huge bridge leading into MIT (which I'd guess is the only entrance to the Institute). And that airport on the east side of the river. And the Belle Isle Marsh Reservation. Basically, all of the locations not marked by the trailer :P

Found something intriguing.

"something Bay something Center"

Oooo in the same image, look right above the Protecttron and you see a clock tower in the distance. That may be http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Custom_House_Tower.

I did some googling but all I could find was South Bay Center, I don't think that's it though. The map is really cool, thanks for that.

Maybe: South Bay Medical Center, aka, Boston Medical Center.

The last letter of the word before "center" looks to be an L, which makes South Bay Medical Center likely.

That would be south center on the map I posted, on/near Albany street at the bottom of the map.

But wait! There's some lettering behind the red crane, too. What does that say?

I think you're right. What I thought was an H is definitely just a stylized A on closer inspection. FOUR LEAF something. Be it a boat?

Some locations may been moved around a little bit. As I'm sure you know the Mall in Fallout 3 is different than the one in our world.

Umm did the Big Dig make it into the game.. I see a raised highway which makes me feel like it isn't.. Though, I know it transfers at a certain point in which it is raised and then becomes the big dig tunnels.. I am thinking it isn't present now

Isn't Big Dig apart of the Eisenhower Interstate system? Hell, is the Interstate system even in Fallout?

At the shot of leaving the vault at 1:36, there is an top hat shaped tower in the distance (middle right). If you compare that with the tower at 1:38 on the left, does anyone think those could be the same?

Valt 111 candidate but its a oddball

Griswold pond is a posible candidate(if you look on the film you have what looks like housing next to a pond if the powerlines are in the same place but the terain is exagerated to make it fit(draw a line south east from that point) then its as close as I could come running the map, but the problem is what in the oposite direction was worth nukeing?(unless it was one that went way off on its targeting, or was ment to hit the Vault)
