Map Marker Remover

Post » Wed Nov 04, 2009 9:24 pm

Hi.

I'm running around 250 mods, with a (surprisingly!) stable game, with no CTDs in over 30 hours or so of gameplay! It's great, but I have a few qualms before I start my actual character. Whilst most of my issues have actually been solved, there is one thing that bugs me.

I LOVE OOO's functionality to remove all city map markers when you first leave the starter dungeon, means I have to discover the entire world for myself, which I think is great! However, the map markers from certain mods, like Elsweyr Anequina, ImpeREAL forts, etc, are still there. That aggravates me, certain things showing up on my map but others not. Is there a way to remove ALL map markers at game start without having to manually edit all mods?

Thanks!

Try:
TMM 0?

(Console command, stands for: Toggle map markers)

Haha, how elegant. Hadn't thought of that.
I would've gone for Tes4Editing and removing every mapmaker from mods which add them.:P

TMM 0 indeed works.

If you don't want to think about it yourself, you can install my mod http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=1042960 which calls TMM 0 when the player exits the starter dungeon, and the mod will further help your exploration by allowing you to add your own map markers on the fly when you discover something interesting that is unmarked, or to add freely named tags to the existing markers, like [Danger, Amazons] in a certain cave modified by OOO.
