i wonder what will happen if you try to Finish the Game Without using the Map or the compass!

getting freaking lost in some way it is Annoying but, think about it the only way you will learn how to navigate is by exploring.

i can Guarantee that anyone that will try it will have another 300 hours of play time

I don't like the map, or the compass icons... so I may actually try playing without both.

I assume there will still be NPC directions and the occasional road sign in-game.

That'd be great, role playing a cartographer!
