Hi, I thought I was gonna walk all the way to the quest from Megaton instead of fast travel this time. However if following the compass it points straight to Rivet city, then going north. If I try follow that way it leads to Grayditch and then it seems blocked. I guess I have to take the north bridge? How come the compass is like that? Thanks.

The compass bearing shows you the way "as the crow flies", and therefore does not take into account that you can't walk through walls and barriers; in this case straight to Rivet City, from there (because the route is partially underground) Annacostia Station tunnels up to museum and I'm almost positive when you get up to Museum Station you need the west exit onto the mall for Museum/underworld.

Start exploring lots and you'll get to know your way around better, I bet there are forum members that know their way round the entire map now :fallout:
