Mapping the Mojave

Post » Wed Aug 18, 2010 10:48 pm

I'm really liking this, and it looks like there's another vault on the map so hopefully there's more than 2.

I wonder if the "Evolved Centaurs" are using the energy weapons or if they're just lying around.

I agree. We're all excited, lets be a little more less vulgar gentlemen. Shall we?

Also, am I the only one disturbed at the words 'evolved centaurs'? :bonk:

I hate centaurs, I do not want them to touch me and evolved centaurs (yuck).

Seems like a thorough and well made work, the guide.

Also seems that I'll be avoiding it like plague.

Also, 200 "marked" locations and a "similiar" amount of "unmarked" ones would suggest a really cramped up map. Although, if their placement is right there should be no problem.

If the Capital Wasteland top-level worldspace was 4x4 kilometers, how big will the Mojave top-level worldspace be?

they did say at one point that it is much larger than the Capital Wasteland map, and that it took some fiddling to get it to run properly (one of the design videos?). So 200 marked locations, spread out to give that expansive desert feel, would indeed suggest a huge map.

So there is around 400 locations (marked and unmarked) and the map is the same size as fallout 3? Cramped much?

That skyline picture is very neat.

Also: I can't imagine how strange centaurs would be if they were evolved now. Though thankfully I won't have to listen to Anything Goes while they shake their heads to the exact beat. *shudder*

Impressive! They did tell us that there would be alot of content in the game! Those of us that kept the faith are going to be very happy. :)

I can't read it though - I promised myself no more spoilers - not even the pictures. I've already got 3 damn copies on order, there isn't any deeper to sink the hook, this fish is caught! :mohawk:

Lake Mead is a source of pure water.
Probably a spot that will big with players who play in hardcoe mode.

Those were just concepts, not really cut. At any rate, the Lakelurk kings are just the same creatures as in F3. So I assume the same is true for their less smart fellows.

Hmm... are they just mirelurks living in lakes, or are they like special and live in fresh water? (Lake Mead)
Edit: found out they do P=

There are no real mires near the Mojave, so I guess the former.

Maybe lakelurks came from crawdads, prawns, or some other freshwater shrimp? I mean I don't think blue crabs/horseshoe crabs live in Lake Mead.

And then they'll post on here acting like a hard ass and say 'Oh L...Lake Mead? Never heard of it, I'm to busy being tough and barely using water sources cause I like a challenge'.

Not those, just recolour them to match shore crabs.

I would LOVE that. It would follow up on some lore, and be a great new enemy.
