i think notes might be nice, but i would realy like it if the map looked like it was made by a person and not a compluter, for example all of the icons would look like they have been drawn

Perhaps you need to review the rules of the forums friend. There is no reason for you to start discussions about things that have already been discussed. If you find a topic that interests you, post in THAT thread. Do no create your own.

Otherwise people are going to suspect you of trolling, and that will most likely lead to locked threads/banishment.

I wouldn't hold my breath. The GI article about the UI described it as a topographical map that allows you to explore the peaks and valleys. It'll probably be a 3d map.

@Wicca Dio - The poll should have something to do with the topic of the thread. Not something completely random.

But why would you do this? If you really want to make a poll to see what people think, why not use a title that matches the poll instead of something completely misleading?

are you following me around like a lost puppy? really guys theres no reason to get anol about stupid things like a poll not matching a topic, and i can talk about whatever i want and start whatever i want, i dont SEE anything about my topic being a topic and im not about to dig through the thousands of topics just to talk about it. no. ill do it the easier way and make one specifically for people that want to talk about the same thing I want to talk about. so far all i get is a bunch of people that have nothing better to do than recite forum rules in their heads and act like nazis about it. Actually, no, you are not allowed to talk about whatever you want. These are public forums and you must obey the rules that have been established. Both of your most recent posts have broken these rules. Here are two that you in particular should read closely. I suggest reading them all.

if i get banned for making my own topic which im allowed to do, and doing what a forum is used for and talking about things, then theres really something wrong here, i dont take anything from anybody, and so far everyone has just flicked me crap about every little detail.

It's just confusing to have a poll about a completely different topic without any mention to it for why it's there, that's all. I don't think it's possible to be off-topic in the first post of your own topic.

Anyway it would be nice to be able to place markers again. Oblivion had the quest marker-like marker you could place, and Morrowind allowed you to write notes on the map.
