Marcus won't join me

Post » Fri Feb 04, 2011 9:00 am

Hi.

According to Per Jorner's Fallout 2 Guide, which I've been referring to (not using it for everything of course, just when I'm really stuck), says that after you do quests 1. and 2. in Broken Hills "Find the Missing People" and "Fix the mine Purifier", Marcus will join you.

But to me he still just says there are too many people and he won't join a crowd anymore.
My Karma is 799 and I'm not a Slaver, Childkiller, or a mutant hater or anything.

Honestly, if I have to get rid of Sulik or Vic I probably would because Marcus is really cool. But, I can't figure out how to fire anyone.

What's your charisma?
If it's low then you'll have to ditch sulik or vic.

Thatll be it then, too many companions. Leave one of them behind and take Marcus instead, if you want him.

Doh! Just before checking this thread again I tried telling Vic "stay here" and then Marcus wanted to join.

Hmm... Sulik or Vic... well, to be honest Sulik kicks some ass with his hammer and all Vic does is punch because I'm too cheap to give him guns and/or ammo because, damnit, I have barely any ammo myself in this cruel, cold world.

Didn't I hear it was best to leave someone where they originate or they could disappear? Or is that FO3? If I leave Vic in Broken Hills will he stay there forever? I was thinking of leaving him with Val in Vault City.

Theyll stay where you tell them to wait. Its Fallout 3 where they wander off.

Personally, i like to leave my non active team members in Cassidy's Bar :)

Oh yeah. I haven't got Cassidey yet. I decided I was using Per Jorner's guide too much, now I'm gonna lay off.. I was only using it for like, "complex" area's and quests, like when I got to the part about New Reno (was going there for mine parts) it was like, ok, there's 4 families and if you do this quest, it'll screw up THIS quest, so make sure you go and talk to THIS guy in NCR or else he'll count as being dead and THIS mob boss will kick your ass...

But I'm just gonna go with the flow and do what I want.

PS I lost my shovel, I bet it was those damn Den kids again. I always check to see if they stole anything and think that they didn't then later I notice something missing. Know where I can get a shovel in New Reno?

PPS: Also, what the cheese? ALL my alcohol is gone! I wasn't near the den kids in a long time. I was saving it up for the person in Vault City and now it's all gone! Could it be that now I'm a Citizen, they don't check me anymore, but when I go through the gates it disappears or something?

If Ammo's a problem you'll hate Marcus - Miniguns don't feed themselves.

It's true. He can be kind of an idiot when he only punches. I suggest you continually invest in minigun ammo for him and be sure to stay out of his way, because when used correctly he can be devastating to your enemies.

@ Gibush :

The best thing to do when you're in the Den is to use the attack mod when you wanna enter in a building.

That way you avoid to be stealing from.

Yeah. But never tell them to wait in the desert or you can kiss them goodbye.
