Mark Mergable and CBash Mark Mergable?

Post » Tue Dec 13, 2011 4:11 am

I have been getting back into Oblivion and I thought I had Wrye Bash figured out (somewhat) and now I have 2 things i need a bit of help with. 1st: I don't know the difference between Mark Mergable and CBash Mark Mergable. They both do things a little bit differently. I have just been using CBash Mark Mergable. and 2nd: When I bash my patch and then sometime later i add another mod it shows the mods i merged/imported as not being merged or imported. I found that they have no tags :/ it all started with 292. before they were properly tagged and now there not :/ really these are annoyances and my game is stable but im just wondering if i could be doing things differently...

CBash is another experimental feature of Wrye Bash that allows even more records to be merged. It is a C++ patcher, unlike Wrye Bash's default stable Python patcher.

As it is in beta, it does not correctly work for all records - see the Wrye bash thread for more details. My recommendation is to use the Python (non-CBash) patcher until the bugs are ironed out (should be soon).

BOSS will tag your mods automatically.

For some reason it hasn't been tagging some of them. Really the ones that weren't being tagged automatically was the Let There Be Darkness mod and its patches. Its all good now and they are properly tagged.
