Marksman carbine vs. LMG

I currently have the carbine, and I'm really loving it a lot. The accuracy and rate of fire are great, but a lot of people seem to LOVE the LMG. Caps and strength aren't an issue, which one would you guys recommend? For the record, I usually engage enemies from really far away cause my PER and AGL are at 8(and I have the trigger discipline trait), would that be an issue with the LMG, or is it accurate?

Sounds like the carbine suits your playstyle more. The LMG is cool, but not so hot past a certain range.

My only beef with the Carbine is that against certain enemies (Radscorpions, Deathclaws, Super Mutants etc.) you might aswell be flinging rocks against them. The LMG helps alleviate that problem by packing more of a punch. Still, I swear by my Sniper Rifle and This Machine. This Machine is just so darned amazing.

The marksman carbine is better for strong enemies at a distince while the LMG is for closer range, the carbine has about 4-5 more DAM but i hav'nt found any mods for it while the LMG starts with a 90 round mag and can be modded with a 200 round one, also the LMG weighs like 15 pounds while the carbine is about 7 or 8 if i remember right.
