I said no but I will be looking for a Red Light District in Boston
I chose "I don't care". It's a part of the game that I do not have any postive or negative feelings about.
Gonna keep try and keep this spoiler free:
What happens in the story truly leads me to believe the character wont be able to get married. It would be...strange, especially with such a pre-determined character with an established backstory.
You mean like every game previous to this one?
Companions are confirmed romance-able so it's not like it matters what the backstory is, or what happens later in the game in that regard.
This is Fallout. People's life expectancy is about 30, on average, and the wasteland is full of crazies and chem addicts. God does not send His matrimonial blessing on this cesspit. At most, they have common law marriage. Maybe.
PS. I am an athiest, speaking figuratively, before anyone starts.
PPS. there should be opportunties for the PC to engage in relations with other characters, however. That fits the world.
And that is where you are wrong. After all, all of Skyrim's characters were married. And with 14,000 lines of recorded voice acting for the main characters, modders could easily do this. And with DLC that will undoubtably add more voice content, it'll provide plenty to work with.
Also, I did marry Olfina with the "Marry anyone" mod. But it was so... stale. Than again, marriage in Skyrim was extremely stale.
Well, we don't know anything about Piper. But it's true that in many games that I've played, background characters are far more interesting than even the main character. And Sierra, she was pretty cool and funny. But we know nothing about Piper yet. I do wonder this is https://youtu.be/X5aJfebzkrM?t=81. The outfit looks like what was described about.
I have nothing against Piper I was just using her name since she's literally the only known option for that....uh..side.
>.> I have been abstaining from leaks. And I got my vault on my phone up to 200 people and got bored so stopped playing. So I didn't know it was her
Er... sorry. Not a leak, though, it was official. Fallout Shelter update video.
I voted yes, mostly because of how I've planned out my first character who married her pre-war husband out of convenience instead of love. Would like something a bit more fleshed out than Skyrim. Since companions are more in-depth anyway, if all marriage does is give your S.O. some hardware and have them move into your settlement that's fine. Marrying some random wastelander would feel weird if there aren't any detailed interactions with them compared to companions.
FO3 and FONV had "sixual Themes" listed in their ratings. FO4 does not. So ... there may not be a RLD or anything else in FO4. Haven't seen anything leaked about it either.
Not sure about either to be honest. In Skyrim it was pretty weaksauce but it didn't affect you unless you sort it.
So I COULDN'T care less. (Not could care less for [censored]s sake).
Romance will be weird for my character mind, if Piper comes onto him when he's a like a 65 year old dude but what-ever.
I'm not really sure how I feel about marriage in Fallout, considering as much as I know, we are already married. I guess it will have to wait until I play the game before I can give an answer.
Skyrim's marriage was alright for what it was. My personal opinion is that I didn't like how much the spouse's personality changed after marrying them. And they (the spouses) all had pretty much the same dialogue after marriage. I liked that some set up a shop ~ that was nice.
If there was marriage, take the BioWare approach and only make it for a specific set of companions. If you can just romance anybody and everybody, the entire system would be shallow and meaningless. There should be an actual point to the feature.
I want to RP as a polygamist and marry everyone. Family discount at every vendor! Imma Genghis Khan this nukatrucken wasteland!
Well since we can get married there will obviously be something like a 'Lover's Comfort' for FO4. I prefer the Fade 2 Black anyway for the scene so nothing new there needed. But perhaps what the ESRB considers sixual Themes has changed and more 'six' is needed to get that flag than before. Course if you go to the ESRB site you get these definitions:
Which apparently FO4 has NONE of these items.
Shotgun divorce. Is that a thing? It soon will be.
Or maybe the bar is just set a bit higher for what's considered "sixual themes" now?
Fallout 3 was about as risque as an Iranian daytime soap opera. It's hard to imagine there being less hanky panky in the game than that.
Edit: OK, misread what you said. I agree.
