Marriage issue..

Post » Wed Nov 30, 2011 4:36 am

Alright so I married Ysolda, free home and such. Then I come back to Whiterun and I find her dead, killed by a random ass thief.

So I waited a at least a week in-game and did the quest for Camila down in Riverwood, wore the amulet; and to my surprise I can't marry, the option doesn't even show up.

So I looked up the list for marriageable people and did about 4 quests for 4 different women. Once more each one doesn't even get the option for marriage.

Any solutions for this? I don't want to start a new character as some have told me, I'm on the xbox and it took me awhile to get 100 smithing and such.

Apparently it's a one-time only deal. Hopefully this is just a bug and they'll fix it.

What's bizarre is bigamy was confirmed months ago, unless they were joking.

Ah.. life as a Dovakhiin is hard. Coming home after a long day of fighting dragons only to find out your wife was murdered in cold blood.

If getting married is a one time deal, then I'm calling some major [censored]...We got Dragons, Bandit Raids, Random killing thieves, and we only get one chance to keep the person safe or our social attempt at being normal is over?

That's pretty much the reason why that if I leave Onmund back at the house, making my stew for me, he's doing it in top of the line, solid plate armour. Anyone breaking into my house is going to get a very cheerful, fully armoured Nord mage to the face.

How do you know she was killed by a random thief? Just wondering if you can find out who did it or not.

In any case I don't know why you'd re-start the game just because of this, but hey, whatever...
