You have to get a lawyer so you can get insurance to pay for your face being burnt off by a dragon because you had a pre-existing condition: Vampirism.

I hope taxes are in.

Seriously. While you may be able to do these things in real life, you can't leave your home and your wife to go slay a dragon. These things just add to the immersion. They add to the whole "live another life" motto that TES games have.

We need a job to make money, sure you have the guilds that could function as a "job" but what if you don't want your character to join one? Marriage is also there for immersion and realism. Let's say you find a character you like, in the other ES games, you couldn't do anything. Now, you can romance them, marry them, move in together, and (possibly) have a child with that NPC. But of course, if neither of those things interest you, you can totally avoid them.

Jobs are absolutely fine, as long as they're done right and not made into Fable-esque mini-games...

I sort of agree about marriage though. Including it just gives people stupid ideas, and soon enough people are asking for sixual intercourse, pregnancy, gay marriages, divorce, etc. There has to be a firm line in the sand when it comes to this kind of thing, otherwise the series loses all direction.

Optional is the magic word here. I think it's a great addition. Espesially for the role-players.

Looking forward to flirting, relationships, romance, marriage, and "...huge freaking dragons..."

Not to mention magic and alchemy, and crafting, and smithing, etc...Oh, yes, and some kind of housing deal...

And maybe fishin'?

What a game!

You know you have a CHOICE of doing all the things your bi*ching about, right? And you don't HAVE to do jobs, or get married, right? I'm getting really tired of the "It's new? KILL IT WITH FIRE!" approach.

Strictly speaking, The Sims already is a role-playing game.

While it is completely optional, that still doesn't mean that it wasn't time that could've been spent on more quests, weapons, or NPCs.

You can't go out dragon slaying with the family in reality can you? Buying the kids their own glass daggers,or crafting his and hers Ebony long sword's. If you could do that stuff,I might not even own a game playing machine.

What is wrong with a wife? Somebody has to bury you after the dragon kicks your butt.

Not to mention that you can then RP the son and go after the dragon for retribution.

Being a cook for the local bakery, or the smith for the local smithy or the hired hand for the lumber yard and get a special quest to clear some gobbys or rodents near by.

And yes too taxes or atleast an upkeep payment for the house the more need for gold the merrier it has been sad that money isn't worth diddly squat at end game.

Let's remove NPCs, food, alchohol, heck all of the peaceful cities from the game as well, they're just dumb gimmicks anyway...
