MARRIAGE IN SKYRIM HELP PLEASE

Post » Sat Dec 03, 2016 1:19 pm

Everytime i try and get married in Skyrim, it doesnt work??? I've tried multiple times with multiple different NPCs and every time i actually turn up at the wedding ceremony, all the guests just repeat "congratulations on your wedding" and Maramal doesnt start the ceremony. Please help, this is the last trophy i need for platinum. Bethesda replied to me on twitter and said marriage should be working fine so i dont know what my problem is

Do you get there at the right time? It's been so long since I got married I forget what the time table is.

You may be there too early - do you have the objective "Attend your wedding" yet?

also wiki says: "Maramal says to meet back "tomorrow, from dawn til dusk". Technically this is incorrect; if you first asked him to host the wedding at 1 a.m., he will conduct it at 12 a.m. next day. Simply try waiting some hours until Maramal begins his wedding dialogue." - so you might just have to wait a bit more.

Be patient. Your chosen one is worth the wait!

Just keep waiting hour by hour your spouse should arrive.

Does your spouse show up at the Temple of Mara? I think they have to walk from their hometown to Riften which can take a while if they live somewhere like Solitude or Markarth.

Speak to Maramal in the evening, sometime before midnight to arrange the wedding. Go to the Bee and Bard and rent a room. Sleep until 6 am or so the next morning. When you wake up you should get the notice to attend your wedding ceremony. Walk over to the temple and get married. This has always worked for me without fail, hopefully it will work for you. Don't hang around in the temple after you speak to him. If that doesn't work, reload an earlier save game from before you entered Riften, because something might have gotten broken in your game.

This is what I have done...never an issue on 360 or PC..

Get the intended bride to say yes... the Dialogue for arranging your wedding. .. Go to Riften ( make sure it is daylight)... Ask Maramal about wedding.. He give's the dialogue about "your wedding being tomorrow" .etc... Check your time.... get a room at the Inn.. plan out your sleep so that it's til 8 or 9 am.. soon as you wake it should say "Attend your wedding".. If not, wait one hour.. it should pop up along with an arrow that show's to go to the Temple.

Save and save often... it can be a life saver.

I usually wait right outside the Temple doors and I've never had any problem with my intended showing up. Are you using any mods?

Yep, all of these things are going how they should. Maramal is there, the spouse is there (i've tried 4 different NPCs to marry), i've done the whole wait hour by hour thing, there are 3-4 guests there, but maramal just WILL NOT start the ceremony. Even my spouse says something like "oh i cant believe were getting married" yeah not at this rate we arent love x
