after you marry her set her as a follower then dismiss her and she will go home.

you can find her again by activating the radiant quest for the companion leaders (animal extermination). so wherever the marker shows her, thats probably where her house is (i read she lives in a farm outside of whiterun)

One thing that bugs me about the AI for the spouse is that half the time their sleeping with the Housecarl/ in their bed and not yours. I guess this is a potential loophole for divorce (till death do us apart).

As for Aela I'm pretty sure she's got a quarter in the basemant of Jarrvaskr. Although she should really be sleeping in the Harbinger's Quarters with the PC.

If U do not like where your spouse lives, why not get a house and u can get her to move in with u there. BTW If your Housecarll is sleeping with your spouse (as one of u said), can U fire them? LOL

I have yet to see any housecarls sleep... They're endlessly sitting at tables munching on a half loaf of bread.

But I have caught my spouse sleeping in the housecarl's bed on occasion.

in order to have a spouse sleep WITH you you need to be sharing a double bed.

Aela's quarters in Jorvaskr only has a single bed.

I would suggest the whiterun house as the best for sleeping together.

Strange, I married Ysolda and I never get the "lovers comfort" bonus when I sleep in the main double bed (whiterun house)... Nor have I ever seen her asleep, but allways doing something else like cooking or using the alchemy set.

You shouldn't need to sleep in the same bed to get the bonus, you just have to sleep while your spouse is in the building.

I married Jordis the sword maiden and she will only sleep on the pad in the basemant room. That's even if she's dismissed as a house carl. Kind of irritating.

I have the lovers stone as my rune stone so I always have the lovers comfort bonus.

it is strange that you do not get the bonus unless you have chosen the lovers stone too.

None the less, I've never got it.

Yeah, it's buggy. If you use the Lover's Stone, you will never get it (until you switch stones), but sometimes you don't get it anyway. Usually I've fixed it by moving the spouse to another location (their house if they're currently in one of yours, or vice-versa), sleeping there, then moving them back.

Never used any stone but the 3 class ones, actually  but oh well, I guess it's only a small drop in the ocean. I barely even noticed I was missing it, just a shame that I only made it to 86 enchanting with the mass ammounts of soul gems I had stacked up, Maybe with the extra 5% exp I would of been close enough to bother enchanting

Isn't there a hint on a loading screen that mentions those with the beast perk (werewolf) will never get well rested?

That's interesting as i sent my spouse to Proudspire and came home one time to find them sleeping on a basemant pad. Only once have I ever seen them use the bed in the main bedroom.

Haha, yes, I too have seen my spouse sleep in the housecarl's bed, in various houses. But I have yet to see any housecarl sleep in any bed. Usually they're moving from chair to chair, munching bread. The only exceptions I've seen are Iona, who is sometimes using the Cooking Pot, and Lydia, who never budges from that chair in my bedroom (which is really creepy...I can't sleep in Breezehome, it's too weird).

She's a nice follower, not a wife. Camilla makes you cold hard cash. And food

Cheers

If you are a werewolf you wont ever get a sleep bonus of any kind. There is a bug where after you are cured it still wont happen.. trust me :(

I married her too!
