Do married couples wear wedding rings?

I don't like the sounds of this, and I certainly don't want such blatant manipulation and manhandling of women in the real world, nor in a fantasy world. The TES universe has a great level of gender equality, I would hope the celebration and cementation of a monogamous relationship involves each party treating the other with respect. :stare:

Just wanted to add that I don't like it that well either.

...

Of course, the question becomes: why monogamous relationships? I mean, TES doesn't have the religions from this world, a few of which strongly prohibit polygamy. But, in TES... the people would need some sort of precedent to compel them to single-spouse (well, at least one at a time) relationships. And after reading MK's snippet from World Eating 101 and Shor's many wives... not sure we can count on the Aedra to have set the example... :P

EDIT: Yeah, I know, the answer is so that the game doesn't alienate its audience, which come from cultures that endorse monogamous relationships and prohibit polygamy.

Somehow I don't think they put in so much detail into this subject, it's doesn't seem to be mentioned very often...
