Just chiming in to thank you for work on Fallout 3, Martigen. I honestly didn't know you were still working on your Fallout 3 mod. Your dedication to making top quality work for nothing but the appreciation of the fans is admirable. I can't wait to see what you churn out for New Vegas!

You're my hero, Mart!

The encounters in NV are so predictable as they stand, that large portions of the game are already getting substantially less shiny -- even the most basic capability to break it up / add more frequent spawns etc, will be an incredible help to the continued replayability of the game. (As it stands I'm already contemplating creating my bloodthirsty character who will be going out of his way to kill every NCR -and- Legion individual he can get his hands on...)

You should go get the Fire Axe or Chance's Knife from the Tribal Village NW of Goodsprings before starting your murder spree. ;P

Yeah, I was thinking Chance's Knife would be his weapon of choice...

That, a high sneak skill, and lots of drugs.

ILikeOblivionChancedSpawns, really? Looking forward to this Mart. :)

Hey Darn, good to see you here for NV too :)

If this gets added in, I'll literally crap mah pants.

Bloodsvckers, snorks, burers, pseudogiants, poltergeists. Any of those will do (I can only imagine how hard it would be to take down a pseudogiant in New Vegas :bolt:).

If you can really add S.T.A.L.K.E.R. models to the game without a problem (I know GSC is more than ok with it, but I'm not sure on Bethesda's take), I may just add some S.T.A.L.K.E.R. weapons while I'm at it. I would love to go around the wastes sniping people with my draugonav or even S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s take on the gauss rifle.

MMM for Fallout 3 already includes some Stalker creatures -- the Boar and the Pseudo Dog. I felt the rest were too far out of Fallout lore to be included for now, but I'm willing to be swayed. Anyway, if you want to enjoy seeing these two in the world and the items they drop, see MMM for F3.

Team? I though Mart worked alone.

I do, but MMM wouldn't be possible without the long list of contributions from other modders, so it is a team effort.

Note that http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1134607-rec-marts-mutant-mod-needs-you/ too.

If you do this, it should be optional. I myself do not like Stalker creatures in my Fallout world, but that's just me.

That's what I like about ti in FO3, you can easily disable the stalker creatures. Personally I didn't care for them, but I'm sure there are lots of folks that do.

Martigen, when you do this, something is missing in the desert nights. a creature that has called the desert its home for eons. They come in all shapes and dietary needs, but radioactive ones might give me nightmares.

BATS can be based off of cazadores, and vampire bats that are radioactive with eyes that glow... silent and deadly.

Personally, I thought that http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gila_monster would've made a great addition to the game. In Fallout 3 Iguanas found there way into the game, so why no these animals? Irradiated and mutated? Think of the possibilities.

Martigen after playing Fo3 with your mod and seeing the pure amount of dedication and work you put into it I pray that one day Bethesda offers you a job with a nice fat pay check. You deserve it.

I was sort of surprised that Bethesda/Obsidian didn't make giant doodlebugs to go with their giant ants.

svcks to be you if you fall into that pit! :cryvaultboy:

Somehow, the Wasteland seems empty and a little boring without an MMM Mod.

Godspeed martigen. You're gonna make a lot of people very happy on their next playthrough.

Well, I created a topic regarding the addition of Spiders into Fallout: New Vegas, specially Tarantulas and similar Arachnids. I had this idea since Fallout 3, simply because I love the 1957 movie "Tarantula" and the fact that in the Fallout world everything mutates due to radiation and I always asked me where all the spiders went. Now, New Vegas is mostly set in the large desert of Nevada, where a lot of large spiders dwell, so it would be just logical to assume that Spiders mutated due to radiation as well and got as large as the other creatures there.

So, what do you guys think about adding Spiders to this mod?

Mart, thank you for the time, effort, and great creature mods.

+1 for this request.

The FO Wiki says that the Cazador is based on a Tarantula Hawk wasp, which feeds its young on Tarantulas, so it would fit right in!

There are some good tarantula-type ones on TESNexus, though I know that doesn't necessarily translate to FO. I believe these are based on existing Oblivion creatures, so the animations may have already been there for the modder that made these.

Also, I like the giant tarantula approach, as that would befit the desert setting (and the B-movie radioactive creature feel).

Lastly, I'd like to see a realistically colored Radscorpion and Cazador.

Thanks for listening, children!

EDIT: Looks like Cazadors (Tarantula Hawks) are already the correct colors:

Seriously.

I was sort of looking at them the other night and they kind of look like scorpions. With a retexture and some kind of fall-through "pit" setup... :D

Lol but antilions don't have scorpion pinchers. To be honest they look distorted ants. Get an ant, stretch its mandible to 3 times the size, compress its midsection to like 1/4th its length, and blow up their rear section to about 3-4 times its normal width and length and you get yourself a scarey as hell looking antilion. Oh that and make it as big as the Fire-ant queen and you got yourself something that will make people crap in their pants.

pity you can't make it so that people fall into its little pit and slide down. it would be impossible to climb back out of.

i can agree with this though i personally want to see them in game. how about a esp file for MMM (fo3 or NV version) to be called stalker monster additions. bloodsvckers could prolly use some of the effects from the nightkin.

Regardless they look quite intimidating. Imagine having one in fallout. Bet it will be a ton of fun.

Gila monsters and bats are good ideas. I haven't played the entire game yet so I don't know if these are already in it, but vultures would be awesome, too. Especially if they only appeared around dead bodies or a few hours after a battle to pick at the corpses :P

Anyway, I'm extremely excited to see that Mart is going to mod NV as well. Your mods for Oblivion and FO3 made those games X1000000 better. Good luck and thanks for all you do :)
