Martigen’s Monster Mod 3.7b3

http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1111761-boss-better-oblivion-sorting-software/. Much recommended - not only for setting the load order, but for giving Bash tags (if using Wrye Bash's Bashed Patch) and notes on conflicts, updates etc.

A missing mesh means missing resources, most often caused by not renaming MMM.bsa correctly - otherwise probably a faulty install of OOO 1.33 (if it's connected to either).

oh well when i finally downloaded b.o.s.s and bomm installer, it wouldn't install unless i had (exactly) microsoft word, so i spend the next few hours searching for it over the internet and i guess i got a virus from some fake file i downloaded. and all my files went haywire, and had to pratically reinstall everything and now all my mods are just bunched up in the hundreds in one folder. i'm so tired of not getting this mod thing right and frusterated. i wish someone could just help me via remote assistance, take control over my computer and do it themselves. i got all the files downloaded, i just need help loading them on OBOM, and installing them in the correct order via b.o.s.s. maybe through msn live or something like that. idk anyone interested in helping out a friend? lol

If I were you, I'd start over from scratch, e.g. uninstall the game and delete the game folder - and reinstall plus patch the game. Then I'd take the time to learn how to install mods via Wrye Bash's BAIN. And after that I'd take it slow, e.g. don't go for OOO + MMM at once, focus on getting a correct install of just OOO first. Then use BOSS for the load order - but I wouldn't recommend BOMM from the start as it's quite advanced and not really needed either in your case. Don't even try to add other mods until you get a core OOO install up and running.

ok sure that sounds good..now tell me exactly which files are OOO? (MMM373BSA/MMM37b3) and (OOO_133 Complete/ OOO134.beta 5) and the patches (Shivering Isles Patch v1_4_0, Unofficial Oblivion Mods Patch v15, and the Unofficial Oblivion patch v3_2_0) should i manually install the updates first thing? or put them in my OMOD as one file together? (which is what i did first time)

now as far as using b.o.s.s / it only comes with a masterlist file that i place into my oblivion directory manually, or do i put it in my OMOD too?

as far as the diverse underwater stuff i doubt i need? or do i?

do i got all the files? + i need to download wyre's Bash's BAIN, and figure out how to use it.

Dude:

LISTEN TO THIS VERY CAREFULLY.

DO NOT TRY TO INSTALL A "TON" OF MODS AT THE SAME TIME!!!

You are fairly new to Oblivion modding, so much goes over your head at this moment. But once you have understood the basics, it will be easy.

At the moment, just install OOO (not MMM). I will list out what to do, but you must do that and only that before you install this mod and that mod and let things go haywire again.

1) Uninstall Oblivion (and all other official addons like Knights of the Nine, Shivering Isles, Frostcrag Tower etc if you have them) from Control Panel. Delete the C:\Program Files\Bethesda Studios\Oblivion folder entirely.
2) Reboot.
3) Insert the CD, reinstall the game in C:\Games\Oblivion (you'll have to choose this manually, as the automatic path is not recommended if you are using Vista/Win 7). If you have the GOTY edition, install Shivering Isles.
3) Install the official patches if you don't have the GOTY edition of Oblivion - they can be found here: http://www.elderscrolls.com/downloads/updates_patches.htm
Install the English patch if you have the English game, only install patch v. 1.2.0416.
4) Install the DLCs (Knightso f the Nine, etc. if you have them)
5) Do you know how to use OBMM - first, download a mod as a .rar or .zip or .7z file. Save it in any folder except the Data folder in Oblivion. I suggest creating a folder called C:\Oblivion Mods\. Download all mods into this folder in the future.
6) HOW TO USE OBMM: Open OBMM, look for a button below that says "Add Archive". Select any mod you downloaded, and click on Create OMOD. This could take some time and really long time for mods like OOO (it is not 000 by the way). ABout 5 minutes or more for OOO depending on your PC speed. Once OMOD is created, a message box pops up telling you so. Then the Mod name is listed on the right window. If you double-click on the mod name and make the square next to it blue, you will "Activate" the mod, which means you have installed the mod.
And remember, you should make a separate OMOD for each .rar/.zip/.7z file you download. Don't combine unless instructed to do so. SO it is not OK to lump all patches, OOO etc. in one OMOD (Big NO NO).
7) Download the unofficial patches from here: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5296, followed by http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=27710. Create OMODS for both of them and install as indicated in Step 6 above.
8) If you have Shivering Isles (SI), download and install this: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10739. Same method of creating OMODS in step 6.
9) If you use official DLCs, install this: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=9969
10) Download OOO and install using the guide listed here: http://www.tesivpositive.animolious.com/?page=guides_mod_installation&subpage=ooo_installation_guide
11) MMM is not easy for you yet - just play with OOO for the time being. Once you read more, then think about installing OOO using the guide here: http://www.tesivpositive.animolious.com/?page=guides_mod_installation&subpage=mmmforooo_installation_guide
12) If you get yellow exclamation marks etc., you missed some step somewhere in my list or the guides I linked to. This has worked for everybody, so it works. You need to carefully follow each and every step and double-check, and if you still get errors, report it here (OI repeat, this method has worked for everybody).
13) OOO is just that - OOO 1.33 + OOO_134_Beta_5_Patch.7z. MMM files are NOT OOO.
14) Set "Lock Times" off in OBMM. Right-click and select it to allow BOSS to run properly.
15) BOSS is NOT to be OMODed. Just unzip the files such that BOSS.bat, BOSS.exe, and the masterlist.txt are installed under your data folder. Download the latest masterlist, and replace the one in your data folder that you just unzipped. Double-click on BOSS.bat (not exe), and it will take 15 seconds or less to do its magic. You don't have to do anything, and BOMM is not for you i you don't have MS Word 2007.
16) Forget Wrye Bash/BAIN at the moment - too advanced for you. Just use OBMM.

thanks for the advice...for downloading the UOP Supplemental there are 5 files..and my computer gives me this error when i try to open them ( This archive is either unknown format or damaged) i'm not sure but maybe the virus is still on my computer...i might have to wipe everything clean on my computer and restart from there.. is there any other sites where i can download the UOP Supplemental ? and which one do i need? v33 or the hotfix? (as far as the patches we have to install (SI) unoffical oblivion patch, can we just install them directly. or do we have to make omods of each of them?
