masquerade ball thing question

someone invited me to a masquerade ball, and im wondering is it appropriate to wear a full jester mask?

I made a mask similar to the Goblin King's mask in Labyrinth. Didn't have a wig and eye makeup so that I can go as David Bowie as the Goblin King.
