Kinect in ME3 is still just a rumour though, and even if it wasn't they have already confirmed that Skyrim will not support kinect. Motion control is a silly gimmick, and one that will hopefully die out sooner rather than later.

Agree completley and anyway maybe I am an old school gamer but I want just simple controls in my hands, I don't want to be sitting in my room talking to my TV and waving my hands around like a moron, I hate the idea of kinect and hope it dies soon along with 3D movies, biggest cons in a long while to rip you out of your money.

I tell you the biggest advancment in entertainment will come with holographic technology, but that is far off in the future and we'll probably be long dead

Somebody please explain to me the appeal of using Kinect in a game like this, apart from the childish "oh wow I moved my hands and my dood cast a spell COOL BEANS" factor.

I doubt anyone can.

That's because you're more likely put an end to AIDS, Cancer, the Rhino Virus, world hunger, and War. In the same week.

Gears of War was released in 2006, Mass Effect was released in 2007 so gears came first.

Motion control is fine in its place. Sports/dance games etc. No place for it in a RPG

I hate Kinect and all motion control.. I'll be so disappointed in Bethesda if they choose to waste their time with that stuff.. :brokencomputer: :brokencomputer: :brokencomputer:

I am with you Kinect is a stupid gimmick and it will fail :brokencomputer: , I hope they do not put it in Mass Effect 3 or Skyrim. :brokencomputer:

I still think Skyrim could benefit from optional Kinect Support for spell casting, voice integration, etc. Looks like ME is doing it...

No Kinect in mah Skyrimz, plz. I see no good that will come of it, that can't be done (or done BETTER) with the controller. If they want voice, just use your mic?

This is also very unfortunate. Go play ME1 if you haven't already. It's a great RPG but just don't expect ME2 to live up to it; it was a massive let down. Bioware has also said that they're focusing on the shooting to bring ME3 more in line with 3rd person shooters and so ME as an RPG like ME1 is dead. The last thing Bethesda should do is copy Bioware.

They would be probably better off in the long run adding in a lot more DX11 features..you know preparing for future titles.

Also bioware titles have been nose dives in the RPG department.

I agree. I'd see the appeal if it was precise, and creative, but honestly it's just no fun

ME1 was an RPG, 2 wasn't. 3 probably wont be either. Bioware is dead.

I remember reading somewhere that they will focus more on the RPG aspects because they got the shooting right in ME2 or something to that effect.
Overall I still agree, BioWare is dead.

If you are equating the kinect to the PlayStation move or the Wii you are one of two people.

1. Uninformed. You do not know the capabilities of the kinect, or the impressive capabilities of its hardware and software. Normally the kind of person who associates kinect with arm waving, or other such motion nonsense. (Not many games actually have you do that)

2. Unimaginative. You know the capabilities of the kinect, but you do not think of how the kinect could be used in game. Self explanatory.

I am not really for kinect in skyrim or anything, but the kinect has amazing potentially waiting to get out,. Its not the kinects fault that game developers aren't tapping into that potential yet.

(I just realized I sound like a really devoted fan in this post. Please excuse that)

Modders will be able to implement it on the pc but for the console the issue is the kinnect uses up to many system resources to make it viable.

Also Mass effect 3 isnt an RPG.
It's like calling COD a military sim and then watching Arma 2 fans go /facepalm.

Hopefully, it could salvage the series, but I doubt EA would let that happen. I do beleive more people are catching on to EA's game after DA2 though.

While ME2's story wasn't quite as good as ME1's, I actually felt that (in some ways) the "RPG elements" in ME2 were stronger - conversations and decision making were a bit more complex and varied.

(edit... I recall all the complaints when ME2 came out - "OMG, it's not an RPG anymore! I don't have to sort through a billion crappy guns after every dungeon!" and could only  at the people who thought that a cluttered inventory system = "RPG")
