Mass Effect

i found the new reaper kind of, peculiar... none of the other reapers look like they were a pre-existing species, the other reapers looked like ships. unless the final touch would be to put it inside a ship like casing it doesn't seem right

There is a theory with some very mild evidence that it grows immensely larger, and that it eventually turns into a ship like design. I mean the Reaper ships have all been big enough to stand in, and this thing could fit inside of it. Clearly it was a fetus. As in it was immensely tiny compared to the final design. Who knows how else it would have changed, but from evidence suggesting other species have reapers made similarly, and the fact that all the reapers share a common theme suggests that at a later stage it adapts the more common look.

I believe the Reapers take the form of the species they find worthy. The reason all the Reapers we've seen look like squids is that the last race deemed worthy to ascend to Reaper status before Humans had a similar squid like shape. The Protheans weren't found worthy, so that race would have to be incredibly old.

On another note, am I the only one curious to see what the Raloi look like? An avian species that just made contact with the others and was invited to come to the citadel apparently, though they need to wear enviro suits due to the "bird flu" :P I realize it was a joke, but the Raloi have a Wiki article and they could be an interesting race, envirosuit clad birds aren't something you see every day.

I think the enviro suits are there temporarily, until they get their shots

I've been watching Chuck so far and the show is awesome. Of course, I'm only watching because of Yvvone Strahovski (Miranda Lawson).

<3
Chuck is awesome, and I love Sarah Walker, but I can't stand Miranda Lawson! No idea why :\

re:The Human Reaper, it makes little enough sense to me that I'm sure Bioware have had this planned from the beginning, and there'll be a damn good explanation in ME3.

Probably, still though, I'd like to see how the Raloi look and learn more about them. BioWare has made a lot of interesting species, but I know almost everything about them :P I need to learn about a new one.

Instead, we got an

unfinished T-1000.

I am sorry, but... fail, Bioware. FAIL.

This. The idea to begin with, is cliche, so not much feeling in there.

It'd be awesome to have Kal'Reegar on my team along with Miranda. It'd be like Chuck :celebration:

Like I said before, my problem is that I remember Adam Baldwin best from when he was in Firefly.
So personally, if he was made a squad member, I'd be humming The Hero of Canton under my breath all the time.
But that would not make it any less awesome. *firm nod*

(...
Fingers crossed for an Edward Lee Olmos cameo in ME3. >.> )

I've never picked the Morinth option because I think she's meh... but has anyone used Dominance much? Is it worth doing a save just to unlock it?

The human-reaper didn't creed me out, the Collector Ship mission did. To me it was really tense, walking through a seemingly deserted ship, with the re-working of 'Vigil'
Spoiler
considering what the Collectors are
and those ambient noises in the background, with no sign whatsoever of the actual Collectors, and then it comes at you in one of the most difficult parts of the game.

NOT GOOD AT 1AM!

Do Samara's quest twice, you'll still unlock Dominance as a bonus skill anyway.

Reave is way better IMO. I have a Renegade save where I recruited Morinth and her character is worse than Jacob. Barely any original dialog, crappy "romance" too.

Yeah, the Collector Ship and the IFF retrieval, the music really enhances the tense setting. I think the Collector Ship Mission is really good, the way it's set-up. I always have a tough time there, and that is only on normal setting, and of course I get to see another Praetorian. :meh: I let the one attack
Spoiler
Joker in the ship, just to see what it looks like up close - man, that is some creepy [censored]. They should have made the massive reaper look like that!

I agree - I did a save in Morinth's Apt, chose her, unlocked the skill, then reloaded. I like Samara, and I never have a full renegade Shepard where it might seem like a great idea to have some soul-svcking, mind-shattering vampiric nutjob asari on board instead of a deadly well-trained and powerful justicar. But Reave is good at helping to take down biotic shields and armor and affects both organics and non-organics.

Are you saying that i'll get another bonus skill if i choose Morinth instead of Samara? Sounds like AI Hacking but for people :D

That's pretty much what it is. And yes, it unlocks another bonus power you can choose from.

It works just like Hack but on organics. You have alot more chances to use it. What I did is in my Femshep Miri Renegade play I unlocked her. Functionally she's pretty much plays just like Samara gameplay wise. So that way the power was unlocked and I didn't have to worry about her anymore and jus tkeep Samara. So All you have to so is make a save before that choice choose Morinth then reload after the scene. :)

Also Metro, to complete that thought of yours if Reager would say http://img229.imageshack.us/img229/4322/jayne1.jpg. Then the circle would be complete!
