Can't be. You can say ass.
Unless it's tighter on topic titles?
Fun fact: you can't say in. sov.iet Russia on this forum.
Boston, like all of New England, originally built its streets based on pre-existing paths: many of which were made by livestock and other animals as they wandered through the area. Boston itself has since done its best to destroy any chance of sanity or reason in its layout by rearranging its streets into even more confusing and dangerous layouts. It is not aided by the fact that, in New England, things like street signs are considered a luxery, not a necessity (or at least it sure seems like that's how the people responsible for them think), and GPSs have been known to sometimes throw fits in the city and get people more lost rather than send them anywhere useful.
And that doesn't even touch on some of the more freakish things about the street design.
I grew up on a large ranch in the high plains of Colorado and FONV reminded me a lot of home. I have no connection to Boston unfortunately. Would be cool though to go to the ball park in the game and say "hey that's where I sat last week during the game".
Would be crazy to find your own home in the game with a skeleton on the floor. "Hey, that's me!" lol.
(Or a Feral Ghoul )
I lived in Northern Virginia for years, in Andale. Actually its Annandale. I looked for my apartment building, but sadly it was gone. I do however look for raiders and ghouls every time I ride the metro though!
When I visited DC a few years ago, it was kinda creepy going into the subway. They nailed the ceilings in them pretty well. Otherwise, beyond the obvious scaling issues, it was cool to walk around and reminisce about the game.
I'm a bit north of Boston in New Hampshire but even here we're all happy about the setting.
And yes, Boston's street layout is hilariously multidimensional.
Come from a strange family?
You butts on the east coast. I live in Arizona - which was apparently worse before the Legion came to town. Not sure we'll get a game there.
I am looking forward to creating a home just like my current home where it is (slightly north of Boston). There is a 99% chance I will need mod help to do so.
I'm from Maine, but have spent enough time in Boston to know the area very well. Yes... I'm VERY excited that FO4 is set in Boston! Err...or I should say "wicked" excited?
Grew up in Northern California, went to college in Southern California, conducted field research in Nevada, then moved to Massachusetts 11 years ago. Batting .800, between Fallout 1 through 4 and NV.
Never been to Washington DC. Kinda glad, it's all rubble and covered in Super Mutants apparently.
Arkham in the game pls, lovecraft territory would be soooo cool.
I have lived in MA my entire life. Grew up on Cape Cod and lived in Boston for 5 years (Back Bay). Been to a ton of Red Sox games and cannot be more pumped that they included Fenway Park. I can only assume they included the subway system which I commuted on every day. Used to be a Valet Parking attendant and Bike Messenger so I know the city streets like the back of my hand. I really hope they captured the feel of Boston because there really is no other city like it. All I know is there better be some NPC's with a thick Boston Accent.
Edit: Betting that Faneuil Hall is in the game and will have a ton of vendors
Where at in Back Bay? I used to live at the end of Hereford Street. Good to know I am not the only one here that knows the epicness of Boylston and Newbury St.
Hoping for some ****head Quincy Super Mutants personally myself, LOL.
Having lived for a time in Somerville, I'm hugely looking forward to seeing how Bethesda captured the feel of the Boston area.
