Massive assassination of Cyrodiil

Post » Wed Sep 02, 2009 3:26 pm

I have done most of the questage now on my 3rd character, and decided that I wanted everyone non-essential dead. How should I go about this?

Would this be a massacre or mass assassination?

My thoughts exactly...this doesnt sound so much like "mass assassination" as it does genocide.

Notessentialocide?

Well I would say use all of those that you mentioned and start from Kvatch and play as a crazed Argonian gone mad from Dremora breath.

Technically, it is a mass assassination of every non-essential character in the game. As in, I would be stealthy about it, and not get a bounty.

If I were massacreing them, I would go around shooting fireballs everywhere, probably screaming things, and killing guards.

And I suppose it is a genocide of sorts, as I am killing the non-essential group.

Go to the imperial city and give each imperial legion guardsman a poisoned apple.

If you're on PC, download thieves arsenal and blackjack people. Then, while they're unconscious, drag the under water and drown them :flame:
If you're on a console, use a powerful drain fatigue spell, or a paralyze spell xD

Poison apples/Chokeberries in the beggar's food bags.

Put bottles of Skooma around corpses to make it look like they died from overdose.

Plant bodies at the bottoms of stairs to make it look like they fell.

Be subtle.

Just kill everybody any way you can and don't worry about acquiring a huge bounty. That's what I did with http://a.imageshack.us/img27/3407/sirkillsalotstatsjpg.jpg

Some of my guys are good enough to take on the whole town at once but if your not like that I would say assassinate one at a time as secret as possible

Because I play as a Khajiit character, I will only take out the really douchebaggy Khajiits like the one in the Skooma Den.

So, I started my killings in Kvatch today; those refugees didn't see it coming. Where to next?

I was going to suggest starting in Layawiin or Anvil and just work your way methodically through the land using as many different methods as you can think of to end their pitiful existence. Be indiscriminate with who it is as long as they're non essential or Khajiit, obviously.

Have fun, +Petrose

Ah, I've done that before, just gone around systematically obliterating each town. It was good for killing boredom too.

Something like this, I say do a little of everything, see how creative you can get with waiting for the opportune moment and method. Poisoned apples in the beggars' bags, that's a good way.

And since you're Khajiit and already started, maybe save Leyawiin and/or Borderwatch for last.

Does kitty feel a need for revenge? Or is kitty just crazy? Khajiit can have some motives that don't quite jive with the humans and mer -- perhaps your Khajiit is an escaped slave from Vvardenfell, bent on the decimation of those who might have been his former captors?

Also, no matter what your reason is, it'll probably be so diluted by the time you reach Bravil that entering the Isles to continue your "cause" would make complete sense. To the character that is, not to you, by then you might find that you've created a monster.

I say the assassinations should be murdering people in their sleep. (beatdowns)
Start in Leyawiin (because I hate the place)
Kill the Nobility (they think they are invincible just because they are held at such a high rank in society)
Start with Argonians. :gun:

This would be extremely onerous, but . . . what would be WAAAYYY cool is if you captured a couple second vidi of everyone you murdered as they died, then compiled it into a video montage like that "100 Ways to Die in Oblivion" video on YouTube.

Then you could have theme music. I'm thinking either Dirty Deeds or Back in Black by AC/DC or maybe Expendable Heroes by Metallica. There is bound to be a good Nirvana song to go with the a good Serial Killer of Oblivion montage.

Oh yeah, War Pigs or Breakin' the Law by Black Sabbath.

Also, what this would open up is the impetus to kill each NPC in a way that was suitably ironic, absurd, horrific, or just generally entertaining and fitting.

I would love to see Heironymous Lex suddenly clutch his throat, eyes roll back in his head, and then just buckle down to his knees and keel over.

I did this, but mostly just the guards to raise infamy. (I eventually got over 100,000 bounty, and finally let myself go to jail, for THREE in-game years)

Start in Anvil. Then just sweep every city Eastward. Hit Imperial City last. If you're actually roleplaying, two things might happen. Either the Chancellor is frightened and sends guards out, lessening the defenses. Or in fact, the Imperial City's defenses are bolstered. I... suffered the second. At one point, enough archers grouped up and attacked me en masse, and they almost stunlocked me to death (Keep in mind these are level 58+ guards)
My Argonian avoided Bravil/Leyawiin, though. Since they have a concentration of beast-folk.

Method? Sword n' board. I didn't sneak around like usual because I was merely doing this to farm up infamy so I could use the Vile Lair's Shrine. If you're not doing this for infamy. Sneaking->Open up with a skilled Marksman, preferably an enchanted/poisoned bow (Though this might be completely moot if you're on the lowest difficulty or, hell, on a low level to begin with. But all guards are 10 levels above you so that's not advised).

I just let myself get taken to jail. Took some skill hits, but nothing that can't get recovered.

Huh, I forgot Nords. That is weird. I suppose that they will be the last group to die, as Bruma has no votes.

So far, everything inside of Kvatch is dead. I am going to move on to the Imperial City now, probably Talos Plaza and Elven Gardens for the nobility.

I think I will save Leyawiin for the end. I will probably poison the town's water supply using apples/rat poison.

Forgetting Nords is a pretty huge error imo. Seeing as they play a major part during the main quest. But no matter, this is still a good thread.

You know, you should post screenshots of your progress. Say after each city/settlement, take some screenies and post them in here :) That way you can chronicle this better. Also, post your bounty after each major event. :)

I would post screens, but I am on a console, with no image-taking capabilities. Sorry, everyone will just have to be content with my awesome story telling prowess.

Well, in addition to Kvatch, I just wiped the Imperial City off the face of the map. I beatdown every citizen with my bare hands. I did leave Adoring Fan alive, because I want to come up with something extra creative for him.

All of the guards have poisoned apples, so I doubt that they will be providing me any resistance in the future.

Tomorrow I will move on to Bravil. According to the poll, I will be using cursed items. This should prove interesting. Any suggestions on the enchantments?

What about taking a photo of your screen?

This thread really needs some visuals to go along with the kind of (epic) scenario you've created. Just writing on this doesnt do it justice imo.
