Massive dialogue glitch, after player lost head in battle

Post » Thu Jan 14, 2016 10:04 pm

Basically my character was being attacked by a deathclaw, and somehow lost her head, but the game glitched and i was able to still walk around, but i noticed stimpacks werent helping my crippled head, and i was getting blurred vision every so often, and of course my character couldn't talk.

I managed to fix this issue and my character has her head back but ever since my character has not been able to speak, i can still talk to characters and get dialogue options but her part gets completely skipped over and no voice comes out when she is meant too.

Another issue I have come across is that I cannot seem to complete certain quests because of this, especially ones where I need to speak to someone to progress!

I thought I could deal with this issue, but now its affecting quests I have realised I can't and the game is soon to be almost unplayable, I have tried everything to get it to work, but nothing is happening, the only thing I haven't tried yet is getting my head recrippled and going from there, does anyone know if this works?

Please help!

Does it happen to a game save before the Deathclaw incident.

i have managed to find an old save where my character speaks but it's pretty far back in the game and i was hoping to avoid having to go all the way back and do it again :/

Well on a console there are not that many things that can be done.

One is restart the console.

Turning off the console by pressing the power button for about 10 seconds.

But I think your issue is that your character died during a conversation and it glitched out.

That is why it is suggested to create a new game save quite often so if something gets corrupted you do not lose that much play time.
