I'm currently rebuilding my patch sans the group you listed, but before that I found out using magic on anything not inanimate crashes me too.
Bash has the door fix, so you can kick that.

Did you say this issue went away with Oblivion XP? All I can think is that this has something to do with how damage or something is being calculated, which sounds like skill-related mod. I can also think...UI conflict. Are Oblivion XP's menu being overwritten?
