This concerns Fallout 4 on the PC.

So when moving too far away from ANY settlement, though for some reason Sanctuary seems to have this problem more often, my food, water, and even settler count dips down. For example I have 45 food and twenty settlers and like 50 water. My defense is over 200. No one is attacking Sanctuary and I spoke to EVERY settler, and they have no problems/ quests to give. This is an issue for many players from what I've seen and the only workaround is to build a wooden structure and place everything inside of your wooden structure. Works for everything but water. That's unacceptable though with places like Sanctuary and Sunshine co-op with ample pre-existing structures.

Additionally, though for every other settlement the problem is fixed when I fast travel back to the settlement For some reason sanctuary now CONSTANTLY has a red arrow next to happiness despite having enough beds/resources/defense. This is ruining the game for me because I can't focus on exploring I CONSTANTLY have to go babysit my settlements. I'm getting close to just returning it.

How do I bring this to the attention of someone who can do something about this?

I know this issue is being dealt with but mine is not exactly the same (maybe it is)

first, I did random check on my data, and saw that sanctuary had ! in triangle. it said no water. and low food. I was like "WTF!"

So I get there to see

a) a settler was being gunned down by my own turrets.

I literally put walls around the entire place except for bridge area and 1 tiny place with a single turret (like a back door) Synths were coming in which was cool fight. Dogmeat, Piper and I killed em.

at this point my food was low. even though I had planted stuff. So I just planted more, it was at 6 even though it should have been 10. I bumped it to 10. green.

I got all things to green.

but my happiness is still negative. I hoped it was because my machines killed settler.

anyway,

that is my ramble.

also, does how you place things matter? I fenced in all of sanctuary at very outer edge. and I have just randomly placed water pumps and stuff. and my walls are messes in certain places, some places the walls would not be seamless so I put extra walls outside and inside until I could no longer fit my PC through the holes. used pickets they helped.

thought it was cool the synths found my one gap. odd they did not attack front.
