Post » Fri Dec 11, 2015 12:28 pm

PS4 so no mods (wish I had some to really take this to even greater heights). Starlight Drivein - Mall, bar, basketball court, movie theater, massive custom power armor collection, 12 apartments, 15 vendors, 2 story penthouse with wrap around deck. Enjoy

LOL! You even put up a smoking area. You are a seriously sick individual, and I admire you greatly.

I admit, I'm not a fan of the settlement building due to my personal RP...but that fine sir is the stuff of legends.

What? No privacy when going to the bathroom? All toilets are visible with now wall/door for privacy. :P

Kidding aside, that is freaking awesome. Job well done.

Well that was pretty rude. I thought the Bethesda forums were better than this. I guess times have changed now. You could have seen he only has 15 posts, he is new and excited to share his great creation. Way to treat new members.

Ace Boogie, how long did that take you to make?

It me a little over a week. I laid down the perimeter then went from there. Quite a few times I'd build something only to come back and totally redo it because I had thought of something better.

Like where the basketball court is. Originally it was sitting on what was going to be a bowling alley but when objects kept falling through the floors and what not I decided to scrap it. Damn the physics lol

Woah, freakin' awesome build! That's what I want to do at Starlight! I got a 3 story building right now, but need to make more room, so I can build more!!! :)

How did you get the Lions, baseball player statues and the picnic tables with the umbrella and the patio chairs from?

It's so good it could be a full blown city in any fallout game. The place is better than any city I've seen bethesda do, and I mean it! Love the character and querkiness of the place it really is awesome

Impressive, awesome, my only minor gripe is that I can't stand buildings that are held up by a set of two wooden steps :) but I suppose they are kind of suspended from the floor above so it's ok. Floating buildings is just a pet peeve of mine.

Regardless of any nitpicks, it blows anything I've tried straight out of the water. Very impressive, you should be proud of your creation. Maybe some day I will reach that level of elaborate building.

You unlock them with picket fences magazines. I think there are 5 total. Then u need copper for the statues

Funny that you mention that. When I first built the building you are talking about I had it only supported by stairs but it really bothered me. So I put open prefabs in each corner (where theres a patio table and chairs) to give it a better structural look with the 4 beams

Awesome, I need to look for them now! I think I only found one so far. Thanks!

And did you do the "trick" with throwing stuff on the ground and then going into the workbench menu to store it, to make room to build more? I did make some room at Starlight this far, but my size bar is again almost full. I guess I have to spent some time, tossing stuff on the ground, in order to make more room! I'm on PC and so far, increasing the size has not interfered with my performance. Although, sometimes items will disappear that I placed on a counter or table for decorating purposes. Have you experienced any issues?

Yes I had to do the drop weapons/store in workshop trick a lot to get it that size.

And yes I spent hours decorating my bar with bottles, ashtrays etc...only to come back and see that stuff on the ground or through the floors. The physics of trying to place objects are jacked up or i would've really taken this whole thing to another level

Nice work. But has anyone found a way to up (way up) the number of settlers? Another poster here got 62 settlers in one settlement. But that is still not nearly enough to fill the place. I want to see these mega settlements filled with hundreds of settlers.

I always thought that we were limited to Chr. +10 settlers.

At least MY game is, anyway. Is this another bug and it should be like Chr. x10 instead?

Now all it needs are some inhabitants. You've done a remarkable job. The one thing that sticks out to me is your Power Armory. It appears Beth put way too many of those on the game. They used to be hard to get and coveted, I guess not so much any more. Anyway, fine job, sport.
