Mature Content?

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 8:16 pm

I remember that morrowind had a bit more mature contents than Kid friendly Oblivion , Fallout had lot more Mature content and I hope this time Bethesda goes for thesame level of content maturity as Fallout if not even more , I remember red light district in Morrowind , nothing like that in Oblivion , While in Fallout well it was definitely more harsh game than the predecessors , I hope they keep going more and more mature content with gore and six ^^ hahaha ...

The new art direction looks very gritty and dark, I'd say this will be the most "mature" TES game so far. Maybe even reaching The Witcher's standards.

Same here, adds nothing to the gameplay for me.

Frankly if they're going to put cheeky code into the game that gets it an M rating anyway then I'd prefer they just go all out in the first place. Give us a world that feels real.

Difficult to extrapolate at this point. The setting does look grimer, but we have zero indication as to the actual contents.

Hoping for more complexity, yup ; not sure if that's what you mean by "gore and six, hahaha". :P I certainly don't want them to go out of their way to place mature content as a goal (don't think that'll happen, though); merely as a mean to devise a realistic world.

Heads should roll. Fights aren't pretty.

There should be more blood in combat. But as much gore as Deadly Reflex has is a big no to me.
six is a big no as well. A few erotic features, sure. Like books, and perhaps even an NPC that is "interested" in you.
But six? No. I'd say: get a partner in real life or watch some videos.

Oblivion's storyline was pretty immature I think. The good were good, and the bad were bad.A few twists would be good I think,or gray (not black/white) charcters like in Morrowind.

Other than that I don't think there needs to be much more gore.Maybe better blood on walls.

As for sixuality, well, there'll eventually be full nudity mods.

Heh. Blood in fights, presence of sixual themes because a world seems weird and simple without it. But no going out of their way. Someone mentioned bulletstorm : such a thing clearly doesn't have anything to do with realism. Or maturity, if you go by that.

I also favor violence and finishing moves. I love the combat in movies like Troy, Gladiator, and 300. I hope there are lots of finishing moves with stabbing, cutting throats, etc.

six? No. I like the way Oblivion approached it. The Argonian Maid books were hilarious, and the Grey Prince quest approached the affair between a Lord and his maid very well. I think Skyrim should continue this type of sixual content.

But still not like in the old days with naked ladies in the guilds... :P

I'm kind of sad that "Mature" = six and Violence. They can do better than that. Not that I mind having it in, but when it's there for the sake of being "Gritty" it's too much.

I prefer Bethesda to focus on better gameplay than things that could be experienced elsewhere.

For all it had myriads of flaming doors all over, Cyrodiil kinda felt like it was made from rainbows and ponies.

Morrowind was more mature than Oblivion? Less kid friendly? I'm willing to bet that a majority of the people here started playing Morrowind as a kid. Daggerfall was mature. Morrowind was no more so than Oblivion.

Unless the mature content furthers the story or furthers the area you are in then why add it? You don't need six and gore to sell a game, if you do than the game isnt' very good to start with.
