Max FPS

Post » Fri Dec 31, 2010 12:29 am

So I am running a gtx 570 tri-sli and with the new patch the flickering has gone away! Fiannly. But the fps sits at 60 and will not move up or down at all no matter the intensity of the game. In games like Metro 2032 I get 80-90 fps with all maxed out with advanced physx on. So does Crysis 2 just use 60 fps or is it a bug?

Vsync is obviously on but you don't need more than 60fps anyway. With that set-up you need to learn how to use Nvidia Inspector and add some sgssaa. That'll give tri-sli something to sink it's teeth into.

Well it looks like you need to learn to read cause I wrote that I have gtx 570 tri-sli not gtx 580. If people ask a legit question they are trying to learn something but most of the times in forums you get people that want to put people down. Nobody is born into this world knowing everything about computers.

sorry... not much difference though... the 570 is still pretty much a juggernaut.

anyhow - it just seems weird that someone going "all out" with that kind of setup doesn't know a - what most people would consider it to be - a basic thing

It doesnt bother me cause I have a kick ass system that will dominate anything I throw at it, and what ever I dont know I can learn it. So I say good day to you sir.

Keep vsync on. The screen tearing in this game is horrible, a steady 60 FPS is more than enough IMO.

hey Webinator, dont worry this forum is full of trolls :( its hard to get an easy answer these days without being put down, picked at etc ... I jsut ignore most of them no matter how trivial or complicated the question is ...

For me , i usually turn vsync off , always did since unreal 99 , but as suggested if the screen tears alot and interferes with your gaming that steady 60 fps should be fine !
