MAX level problem

Post » Fri Sep 30, 2011 8:53 am

So the issue with oblivion is that you could reach a higher MAX depending on what race you picked and what majors you picked. Sense your level is based off of your skill numbers a person who starts with their major skills as low as possible, they have more skill levels to gain and hence a higher overall MAX. But with skyrim you pick a perk upon leveling, so if you pick an argonian you may have overall lower stats so you'll be able to each 1 or 2 more combat levels then say a orc, so an argonian gets 2 extra perks and you know how CRAZY people can get about optimizing perks.

Hopefully each race starts off with the same amount of levels. say all stats are 15, each race distributes X more points into set skills. If X doesnt end up being the same then thats gona be a problem.

It'll all average out to the same level for all races.

well in oblivion you could make certain class descisions that would make your max higher. 54 as opposed to 49 or whatever. but with perks that would mean 5 more perks. thats a BIG deal

Since all skills contribute to Leveling, I'm pretty sure Bethesda gave all races the same total "Amount" of bonus skill points to start. This means that the level cap winds up being the same regardless of race.

I do get what you're saying though, In Morrowind/Oblivion you could pick, say, a High Elf, and focus on Combat skills and theoretically have a higher level cap than had you taken Magic skills as your Levelers (Major, Minor).

Of course, considering you could just do the "Go to Jail" Exploit and get to level 500, it doesn't seem like it matters much.

Not gonna happen as far as I understood it. All skills contribute towards leveling and all races have equal skill-bonus so there will be a set number of skill increases in the game, not counting possible exploits.

Holy ****! How'd you get off The Island?

jk lol :lmao:

On a more serious note, it's already been confirmed that the characters, regardless of race, pretty much have a level cap of 70 before all 18 skills are maxed out. Fret not, Locke.
