Didn't know his name, but I recognized him as soon as I saw a pic. He was the King in Conan the Barbarian and played the priest in the Exorcist.

Yep, I knew of him before this game, and I think he's great.

You know, when I heard his voice on the teaser trailer, I instantly knew who it was, name and everything (though i'm not sure why I remembered his name, probably because he's in my favorite movie like I said, but even then, like I said, he was a minor character)

I actually got more excited by his voice than by patrick stewarts. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Patrick Stewart fan, and getting him for Oblivion was a HUGE step forward, but I'm really into more thespian type actors (yes I know Stewart is a thespian, but with all his years in sci-fi its hard to see him that way anymore) and my fondness for great old school actors makes me really appreciate getting him in here.

As for the comment about his accent being a very weak Swedish, I get that, that does kinda svck, but its understandable, he's been in america since, like, the 60's.

I don't think I've ever actually heard a Swede (correct?) try to speak English. No idea what their accent is like...

good lord every1 on here should know him and that voice of his from judge dredd,heidi,minority report,nuremburg,dune,voiceover from europa which I just watched like yesterday lol,the original exorcist,the seventh seal,... jesus the movies probably would cover 2 pages and that doesnt even cover his Shakespeare theater work. The man is a living legend and I am a huge fan.

His most notable role that probably inspired Todd Howard and company to hire him for TESV: Skyrim was his role as King Osric in "Conan The Barbarian".

King Osric was the king who sends them on the main mission of the movie - to save his daughter from Thulsa Doom's Snake cult.

I was talking about his MINOR roles, which is where most mainstream movie watchers would recognize him from.

And I think i've seen bits and pieces of that one, I know it was on cable once. I will go watch it though. I think its actually on Netflix instant watch... nope just checked. Dang.

He played a major role in Minority Report and a minor role in Shutter Island. His voice was instantly recognizable because I saw the trailer for this game just after watching Shutter Island on Netflix.

Seen him in a movie or two, but one of his movies was partly filmed 150 meters from my childhood home, so that make him a superstar, least for me

And probably many more to boot. He has a distinctive voice and his acting skills are above average, I think.

Yeah, I've heard of him. But dude, he's totally not famous enough! Who cares if he's got a great voice or acting skills, they should have hired someone famous like Justen Bieber.

Even after looking him up and knowing I've supposedly seen him in no less than 6 films... I still don't recognize or remember him in the slightest. I have to say I'm very unfamiliar with him.

I don't recognize the name, but I do recognize his face. Also, going by the trailer, he's got a great voice. Here's hoping Bethesda's writers actually giving him something good to say with it.

For some reason despite liking most of the showtime/hbo shows I never had a desire to watch the Tudors... and now I do. Sorry I forgot the option. lol

When I saw the trailer, I really liked the voice and knew it sounded familiar, but I couldn't quite place it. When I heard it was Max Von Sydow, it was like "Duh!" I've seen him in a lot of movies and he's a really good actor, so I'm happy he's in the game. Hopefully he doesn't phone it in like SOME famous actors in Oblivion *cough*seanbeanandpatrickstewart*cough*. (That disappointed me since I really like Sean Bean.)

Anyway, I don't find his accent too bothersome.
I mean he covers it up pretty well and in my humble opinion, it adds to the immersion with a few Scandinavian voice actors. Just don't overdo it, lol.

OnT: After seeing him in so many good movies, most notably The Seventh Seal, I'd recognize Max's voice if he were mute.

watch Europa the one about a american/german returning to germany in 1945 to work as a sleeping car conductor, Max does a wonderful voice over the entire film. I know this is on Netflix watched it yesterday lol

I had never heard of him until people here recognized his voice in the Skyrim teaser. Then I looked him up and realized he was in the new Robin Hood movie which I saw back in June. So I have seen him act, I just didn't realize who he was at the time. Now I'm wanting to see the movie again to pay more attention.
