As for the comment about his accent being a very weak Swedish, I get that, that does kinda svck, but its understandable, he's been in america since, like, the 60's.
I don't think I've ever actually heard a Swede (correct?) try to speak English. No idea what their accent is like...

My accent is most presumably above average but even I am disgusted with myself from time to time.
Yep, that was a minor exaggeration.
Anyway, I don't find his accent too bothersome.
I mean he covers it up pretty well and in my humble opinion, it adds to the immersion with a few Scandinavian voice actors. Just don't overdo it, lol.
OnT: After seeing him in so many good movies, most notably The Seventh Seal, I'd recognize Max's voice if he were mute.
