I am dreading when the time comes where I have to try and max out the L-Tag
If the enemies don't jump around all the time, you're going to love L-Tag. It's ridicolously effective againts enemies who get too close and don't jump - especially if they like to cloak or run around without Auto-Armor. You can also be "a bit cheap" and melee enemies before one-shotting them if they have activated armor mode.
And yeah, I do also recommend trying to level up weapons to maximum levels. It makes the gameplay more fun and fresh because you get used to different playstyles.
