Máximum Fun

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 2:58 pm

I've been playing this game For 2 weeks and i really don't know why every one is complaining soo Many. Yes there are bugs, but nothing significant just minor bugs that doesn't affect the gameplay at all.

The game is amazing and far greatter and funnier than Many other games, even funier than cod

This is my first post in this forum, but i've been reading it before the game came out, but what is really anoying is the people complaining and biching for such insignificant details. i need to be honest those bugs bothers me too but hey just give crytek some time to solve this problems what they are doing it's nothing easy believe me, i'm studying software and i'm on the last year of my carrer and this enginge they develove (i can cut my balls if it's not true) is the most advance gaming engine out there so obviously there are gonna be complications.

So people stop biching seriously stop doing it or crytek aren't gonna do nothing if you still complaining for ****, i have the same prblems that everyone have and im having the best expierence of gaming in my life
So the only thing you can do is shutup and enjoy the game =)

Totally agree.

The real reason so many complain (as eleswhere) is because they're socially backwards and can't do anything but complain needlessly to gain attention and validation from strangers.

Yes, there's genuine issues, but the game runs pretty fine 95% of the time, no FPS is perfect on release, and the developers are working hard to get everything sorted.

I'm happy, and unless you're ridiculously immature and have massive entitlement issues and a need for attention, then so should you be.

I don't complain much around here, but this statement is a tad bit ridiculous. You may be content putting down $60 dollars on an unfinished game, but some people actually care about their money, and don't like to just hand it over.

Sure, the game is fun, but the number of bugs still present after release is unacceptable for a full priced game. Crytek have apparently decided to make us the testers, instead of actually hiring people to do that. And unlike hired testers, we're paying Crytek, not the other way around. Plus, those without available internet connections will never be able to get the fixes for the campaign.

The amount of complaining on this board can be annoying sometimes, and the majority of users can't even write a single proper sentence, but somebody needs to put some pressure on Crytek to fix this thing, otherwise I'm more than willing to bet they'd simply give up on it. That's apparently the "norm" today in game development (see Medal of Honor), and if we just sit back and say "oh it's fun, we'll just let a few bugs go" then companies will continue to exploit us. It's the same reason console games rarely seem to have dedicated server support anymore: console owners didn't "care" or didn't know, so companies just took the easier route and went P2P.

I agree that bugs are a product of publisher greed and just wanting to get the product out of the door, and it isn't something we should accept in an ideal world, but the fact is it happens, and it isn't the end of the world. The game is in no way whatsoever unfinished. It works as it is meant to 99% of the time, and has a few (mainly lag related) online issues that every single FPS game has on release, and will eventually be fixed, just not for a few weeks as patching a game takes time as it has to be tested in-house then certified by Microsoft.

EA are the publishers, NOT Crytek. They have no say over the release date. EA does. So it's hardly fair to attack them endlessly like some people do.

As for the no internet patch, well that is the same for every game, and as most of the issues are online, it's a bit silly to worry about whether they can be patched or not, no? I'm pretty sure anyway there's a method of non-internet patching where you can mail of a memory card o MS, so there are ways around it, but the majority of people have the internet now as it's a vital service. If you can afford a console and game, you've likely no internet by choice.

I most certainly do blame EA more than Crytek, but Crytek aren't exactly innocent. Case in point, the Sniper-zoom bug. I believe it is now fixed, however it was mentioned no less than three times over the course of both 360 "demos" (there may have been more threads, but I personally saw and participated in three). The bug is a simple oversight of control layout, and cannot be very hard to replicate and fix. Yet, after both demo/betas, come release it was STILL in the game. EA may have forced Crytek's hand in releasing an unfinished game (and yes, I consider a game with this many bugs to be essentially incomplete) but regardless of release date Crytek has made some pretty obvious slips.

Or location. I agree that the internet has become a pretty important service, but it's still not fair to assume everyone has it. It's widespread, but not nearly worldwide.

While it's true that no FPS is perfect on release, most at least strive to be bug-free, especially a console game where internet services cannot be assumed. Admittedly this is mostly EA's fault for pressuring Crytek.

Complaining and petitioning on a forum will, in the end, have very, very little effect, but it's still better than just letting EA and Crytek forget about Crysis 2. The only real way to send a message to the publisher is to not buy the game, which I've advised many people to do, at least until a real patch fixes the majority of bugs. I went out on a limb and purchased Crysis 2 fairly soon after release, and I can't say I regret it, nor can I say I am satisfied or that feel the game was relatively worth the price.

I can promise you however that I will not be buying Crysis 3 or anything else from Crytek/EA until I've heard confirmation of bug fixes. If companies want me to pre-order their product, they had better not create for themselves a history of bad releases as EA has done.

Name one game that has released with a decent MP that had "zero" bugs??? If you ask me crysis 2 is off to a pretty good start (for peer to peer host anyways). I mean look at Homefront, they had dedicated servers and still F'd it up way worse than crysis 2.

I agree with OP. I have not had this much fun with a multiplayer game in years. Last time was with gears of war in 2006. Thats alsmost 5 years ago. I still play that game sometimes.
