Maximum Skill Values

Post » Sun Dec 11, 2011 1:28 pm

Hi, just found out that its possible to increase smithing and enchanting with alchemy over the maximum value of 100, but its not possible to do the same with enchanting (i.e. enchanting doesnt effect smithing if u already have a value of 100 at smithing - my experience).
So this means, to get out the very best of my equipment, i have to level alchemy to 100, mix "fortify enchanting/smithing" potions at this lvl and drink them right before enchanting or improving (crafting items will not be effected by your skill, only the improvements get a higher score).

Another question would be, if it is possible to "outmax" alchemy over the value of 100 with enchantments.. (e.g. skill of 100, plus the enchantments "fortify alchemy") - If not, i could save myself leveling alchemy to 100, and just use a "alchemy-wardrobe". But i think its not possible, because smithing wont get a higher score than 100 with enchantments.

Can anyone confirm this? Sorry if its a bit confusing.

Don't do it, you will just ruin the game for you.

The game is boring as hell when you do that, even on master difficulty. I just made some Daedric armor without any special things and upgraded it to legendary. About an hour later I switched to the Blades armor because I was an impenetrable wall that destroyed everything. If that's your thing then go for it.
