Maximum spell travel distance

For arrows there's a maximum distance before arrows start going through enemies, is there one for magic as well?

Really? I haven't played archer so I don't know, but I played mage a while and never noticed a max distance, what distance is max anyway? I've seen videos of people sniping birds off the solitude coast and that one trickshot where the guy shoots the arrow straight up and sits on a bench to watch where it lands http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xE4uzGaQDQg :goodjob: , is it a horizontal only distance or total travel after leaving the bow?

Total distance between you and your enemy, if you shoot and whirlwind sprint towards your enemy, you might hit your shot you would otherwise not hit
... Something to do with render distance?

Interesting, is it noticeable in any places?

I play as an archer and I haven't hit any maximum distance limitation. Only change I made was to change the crosshair offsets in the ini to 0, meaning that I now need to manually offset my aim for distance.

In the tundra fields shooting at mammoths, since they are so hard to miss

I think spells is much further. Master Necromancers seem to always be able to nuke me from a far no matter how high I climb a mountain to retreat yet their archery skellies don't seem nearly as enthusiastic in shooting at me with arrows.

What about Spelltrap? It seems to be a touch spell. At least I don't see any animations that would make me think that it is a target spell. I really wish it was an on target spell. I really prefer to keep my distance from anything with a soul worth harvesting.
