Maybe more music?

So I loved playing beta this weekend btw, and I noticed that they are implementing an emote system pretty similar to most mmo's. The whole /sit /dance etc etc... but I noticed there are also /lute /flute /drum and so forth- INSTRUMENTS!!!! This immediately brought me back to my time playing LOTRO, and in LOTRO there was a comprehensive player music system, which sprouted forth into entire communities of players forming bands and gatherings of in game music lovers and songwriters. It is in fact my belief that this music system is one of the most potent lines of life blood that LOTRO has left.

But.... ESO is now in the position in which they can take that >:D

The suggestion I throw forth then is obvious by now, I feel that mimicking or even improving on the idea of a player music system would be a relatively simple addition to the game. But one that I assure you would keep players returning to ESO long after its time has passed.

After playing the beta with a friend we were discussing whether it was worth buying ESO.

This was one of the reasons that i didn't want to buy it, because it was lacking in the music system that i so love from LOTRO. In a sense i guess i expected the game to have it, since the game music is dynamic around the environment i figured they'd encourage us to interact further with it. I felt totally let down when i found out they were just emotes.

So thumbs up, i hope we can get somewhere with this.

I'd be for it, actually it's probably the only type of music I'd be willing to listen to in game. I always turn off music in games unless it's coming from within the game world itself.

Yes please!

After trying it in both LOTRO and Starbound (mostly Starbound to be honest :P ) I think it would really increase the game overall "fun and going back to" factor, as well as more music for well.... atmosphere i guess xD

+ playing in a band is always fun

@Thief : no, not a musician, way too unskilled for that, am a quite serious gamer and it's my favourite feature in those 2 said games! ^^

i programmed my keyboard to have 3 octaves of piano keys in lotro, was pretty cool but since it had to be synched to the server the tempo was all irregular, couldn't really play a proper song unless it was transcribed. i never got that far cause I spent half the time jammin' on my lute.

I am guessing, from the lack of posts, that this is not planned to get introduced anytime soon xD shame though!

I think that even with the current system if 3-5 guys dedicate a few hours they can time a tune to sound perfect. But not much more than that.

Would love to see a more complex musical spectacle though, maybe even go as far as MAKING instruments and have those take no inventory slots.
