I'm sure many of you know me from New Manhattan, which unfortunately ran its course after 13 threads. I was blessed to be part of it, but like most good things, it ended.

After some thought, I decided to make an RP in a established area. The world of Fallout 1 is captivating and very well done. This is pre-NCR, so raiders control the land. This time period makes for a perfect RP. If you haven't played Fallout 1, I will explain the world later on. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WkBNKa2KXZE This will take place during the time of Fallout 1.

Race (White, Black, Hispanic etc.): White

Occupation (If none, say so): Water Merchant for the Hub

Backstory (Detailed, please.): He was born in the year 2136. His grandparents were survivors purely of luck, as they hid in the sewers of Los Angeles. Shortly after the bombs dropped, they left Los Angeles and went north, starting a farm. Alex was born the same farm that his grandparents built. Alex showed great promise, and read all he could on the world before the bombs. In doing so, he became incredibly adapt in repair.

When Alex turned 20, he grew restless on the farm. He grew tired of farming and wanted a better life. One night in 2156, Alex ran away from the farm, carrying only water, some clothes, and several books. On the way, he came across and old pre-war home that was still standing and locked. He kicked open the door and found even more books. He also found a Desert Eagle, three suits, and three fedoras, all of which he still has today.

Alex wandered endlessly for a year, living in old pre-war homes, until one day, he came across a water caravan from the Hub. After fixing the boss' gun, he hired Alex into the caravan on the spot. After coming back to the Hub, Alex knew he found his new home. After five years, Alex rose through the ranks and now has his own water caravan.

Other (Not necessary): Nothing

The World (Only the important cities are shown.)

The Hub: The main city in the Fallout 1 era. A trading city that supplies most of the regions water and food. It is also the largest city in the known world.

Vault 13: Home of the Vault Dweller. The water chip recently broke, and the Vault Dweller needs to find a new one.

Junktown: A town made of...you guessed it...junk. Founded by the Darkwater family, it is a small trading town.

Shady Sands: Founded by former residents of Vault 15, it is completely self sufficient. Due to the GECK, they grow their own food.

Necropolis: A ghoul city on the ruins of Bakersfield. Reported to be a dead city, traders rarely go into the town, choosing to go around instead.

Brotherhood: Home to the Brotherhood of Steel, which is a group of technology gatherers. Alex does trading with them.

The Boneyard: Known in the pre-war as Los Angeles, the Boneyard is endless ruins. Several groups of humans have made a life here, including the town of Adytum.

The Cathedral: Located inside the Boneyard, the Cathedral is home to the Children of the Cathedral, who worship the holy flame. Several weird things happen here that I won't spoil.

Military Base: Home to the mutants, this is where captured humans get dipped.

Rules:

1. No Ubering.

2. No Ubering.

3. Ask Questions.

4. No major events without approval of others, including me.

I might permit small camps and towns, but small is the operative word.

Name: Emil Barkley

Age: 26

Appearance: http://i1013.photobucket.com/albums/af259/Par1ah/smk.jpg

Personality: Kind, gentle, and willing. Mostly opposed to violence but will take action if needed.

Race: Caucasian

Occupation: None, tribal

Residence: Tribal camp in the desert

Skills: Medicines, Melee weapons, Survival

Gear: Military knife on an ankle holster, and a small bag of throwing knives in a pouch on his belt. Canteen of water and medical pouch filled with many kinds of medicines ranging from pills to plants.

Weapons: Military knife and throwing knives

Backstory: Emil never knew his parents. As far as he knows he was born into a tribe of raiders and was raised by a man named Jim Farcey. While most children at the time were learning how to hunt and kill, Emil was learning how to crush and blend certain herbs to make medicines. He was learning night and day about what plants were poisonous and what plants could be used for healing, and Farcey was his mentor. By the time he was an adolescent, he was one of very few doctors in his tribe. Whenever a tribal went out on a raiding trip and came back injured, Emil would be able to heal them up within the week as long as the wounds weren't severe.
When he was about seventeen, the tribe was attacked by a rival group of raiders. Majority of the tribe was killed, Farcey being one of those who were killed. Emil and the remaining few traveled far until they thought they were safe from other raiders. Emil regretted not learning how to protect himself and realized that getting out of that situation alive was pure luck. He halted his continuous learning of medicine, and took up the challenge of using knives as a primary weapon. He wanted to specialize in throwing knives, but it was extremely difficult training. It took years until he was twenty-four when he finally mastered the skill.
Emil decided to refresh his skill in medicines and was once more a doctor. He had lived with the three others from his old tribe in the middle of the desert, hunting animals and gathering whatever crops they can find for a bit longer. Emil soon decided he had to move on and try finding a better life, and use his medical skills to make a living, so he got his things together and made way for the Hub.

Name: Xavier Birchwood

Age: 129

Appearance: A ghoul, lost most of his black hair and teeth by this point and wears a duster of the remains of what was once a fine black suit.

Personality: Bitter, though he has been a ghoul longer than a human being he still has fond memories of his former self and indeed the former world.

Race: Whitish/green

Occupation: Works on water purification systems for the Water Merchants in the Hub.

Residence: The Hub Downtown

Skills: Repair, Science and Bartering

Gear: Typically carries a toolbox and a complex array of gear, some of which having functions some can only guess at.

Weapons: Wattz 2000 Laser Pistol

Backstory: Born in 2032 in New Hampshire, Xavier was a gifted rocket scientist and completed his apprenticeship and training working with those who would later go on to form REPCONN after the success of putting the last man on the moon. He worked with REPCONN for another decade before being approached by members for an unspecified branch of the Federal Government to work on a secret project called Hermes-13 to put a man on Mars; he fell deeper and deeper into 'politics' and became cruel and indifferent to anything. In 2073 a surprise blow to the 'branch' occured when elements beyond their control saw the Hermes-13 and much of the space programme mothballed; Xavier returned to REPCONN for the time when he would be called on again and continued to design rockets. In 2076 he and members of the 'branch' secured Bloomingfield Space Center and the Hermes project was restarted for nearly two years until the Great War began and the skeleton crew that remained at Bloomingfield survived but all either succumbed to radiation or become ghouls.

Since the war he has lost his old colleagues and roamed the wastes trying to stay alive until civilisation began to return and his skills as a technician and scientist become valuable again.

I don't really have a preference to be honest. I'm going to wait a bit longer however, until I start the RP.

Kind of like New Manhattan, I provide the main overeaching plot (which is the Fallout 1 plot), and the RP members make the little details and interactions. In short, a sandbox RP.

Maybe is the title.

Its a bit confusing, so maybe I'll change it to, "Maybe you'll think of me." I want to get a quote from the Fallout 1 theme song, "Maybe."

@ The Enclave, great CS, but a ghoul in the Hub would most likely live in Old Town. Accepted.
