Maybe that's the joke?

So, maybe it's intended. But am I the only one that finds it highly ironic the Forsworn seek refuge in Ancient Nordic ruins? I mean, they preach all this hate for them, but are more than willing to drink Nord Mead and hide in Nord ruins. Was this intentional by the Devs, or is this all coincidence?

I don't find it ironic. They're using any refuge they can.

If you're looking for a safe hideout, you're not gonna turn one down because it's somehow related to your enemy's ancestors!

Cultural appropriation abounds! The Forsworn despise the Nords, but they are happy to consume cultural cuisine and adopt other practices. Of course, they've got to live somewhere and eat and drink, and there isn't any Sauvignon Blanc about or a Premier Travel Inn to check into.

No, I have brought this up when Posters talk about the "Poor Natives" when talking about Forsworn. My characters take great delight in the free training available in the Reach.

True, but there's one or two Dwemer Ruins (I believe) and plenty of caves in the Reach, I'm sure they could have avoided them if they REALLY hated the Nords as much as they claim. Frankly, I don't see the point in the Forsworn, their methods and culture are barbarism to a fault.

I don't see issue with it. Many of enemies have hated each other to no end and take up residence in the loosing estates of their fallen nemesis. Just because they have standing issue with the Nords ( and the Imperials ) doesn't mean they should deny the fortifications.

Kill the enemy and take his land and women. That's they way it is.

Besides the Forsworn are a hodge-podge mix of Breton, Imperial and Nord as well. Hell, they even have an Orc with them.

Better in the enemy's house than out in the open.

Stormcloaks still use Imperial septims.

It's same as why the foresworn use Nordic things. Necessity.

I find it more weird the Red Eagle is a Nord draugr, buried in an Ancient Nord tomb...

Dang, I hadn't even thought about that, but you're right. I guess the devs didn't want to bother making a unique undead for Red Eagle. Too bad as that could have looked pretty cool.
