maybe you BECOME a dragon in the end?

They said you would be able to play after the main quest line is done and I am sure they didn't mean as a dragon.

That idea would just be stupid.

That's not what we've been advocating. We talk about it being a brief thing, culminating in an epic fight.

Ever heard of the term, "11th hour superpower"? It's when you get a really neat ability near the end of the game, that you cant use anywhere else once you beat it. We are possibly going to be fighting a god. A real god, not a pretender like Vivec and co...we better be able to do something awesome to win instead of just hitting them 50,000,000 times.

Since it's stated that we have a "Call Dragon" shout where we call a dragon to help us, which means there will be dragon on dragon fights, I can imagine that at the end we could get a shout for transforming ourselves into a dragon. The gameplay could be similar like "Divinity 2: Ego Draconis", where your character gets the same ability.

Of course it wouldn't be permernent...no idea how that came up.

Wow... way to spoil it for people who have the game but haven't gotten to that part yet...

It happens about 1/3rd of the way into the game, and was a widely advertised feature I am pretty sure.

I could see it happening, but not likely as a permanent thing. If it happens at all, I think it will be an "11th hour" power for the final stretch of the main quest, then you lose it after beating it.

^^^ Probably this, if anything of the sort.

Even if that's true, I hardly have time for video games despite my love for them. I'm extremely busy balancing personal life with college and work. I bought that game, but haven't even played it yet.

Has nobody here played Divinity 2 Ego Draconis?

Why are people asking how a dragon transformation would work in Skyrim when there is a clear example of playing as a dragon out there.

Divinity 2 Ego Draconis is based on the PC playing as a human or as a dragon for a good chunk of the game

Dragon gameplay is awesome, it is like being an Apache assault helicopter

So YES, I want to be capable of transforming into a dragon.

This concept has already been implemented in divinity 2 and it did not break anything

Too predictable imo. Also, I would rather we end up winning by our character's own merits instead of relying on being another incarnation of a character we might not even really care about like in Morrowind.

Lol sorry, but that's like saying "I had no idea there were guns in Call of Duty". The main character (standard look) of Divinity 2 is even pictured on the front of the package as his human and dragon form . It's even on the list of features (like amazon.com):

"Fight as Both a Human and a Dragon - Don't settle for taming and riding a dragon when you can be the Dragon. For the first time, an RPG unleashes the very power of the Dragon on you. Climb high and vaporize all that stands in your way as you strategically use both your human and dragon forms to defeat Damian and become the ultimate Dragon Knight."

The fact that you turn into a dragon in this game was stated everywhere (magazines, internet, game package, steam info....).

"No! I must kill the servants of Alduin" he shouted
The radio said "No, Dovahkiin. You are the servants of Alduin"
And then Dovahkiin was a dragon.

The way I see it, the main quest is most likely going to ask you to collect X number of artifacts of power and unlocking the final dragon shout to become a dragon for the final battle with Aludin. Like Ichigo, you are going to lose those powers at the end of the fight. Maybe retain a very limited form with reduced attributes and duration.

nooo you will turn into a tree. Seriously though, how would you fit thru doors....how would you buy things or talk to people...everyone would kill you. I agree with re123 about if it happens at all it would only be during a certain quest but im 99% sure that its just ridiculous and not going to happen.

I dont think so, mainly because they spent so much time on dragons in general, to spend even more on making the character be able to play as one seems a bit much...

Also, dragons can fly, and levitate is game breaking

Why are people obsessed about becoming a dragon? The more people nag about riding or becoming one makes me wonder if it was a mistake to include them in the first place, since it seems to be leaving alot of people disappointed. I'm happy that there are dragons you can fight, and that's about it. D:

However, mods will surely be able to take care of that for you.
