McReady's Killshot perk is bugged

The perk you get by maxing affinity with McReady is broken, its supposed to give you 20% extra accuracy on headshots on VATS. But its making all my VATS headshots have 95% accuracy even on really far range.

95% chance to hit us as good as it gets - it's capped. If your actual chance is way over, it just means you can accrue more penalties (movement, cover) without seeing a drop. If you're often seeing 95% to hit all body parts, you're likely running way over what you need to hit them.

He's not saying that it should be higher than 95%. He's saying that no matter what the actual percentage should be, headshots are ALWAYS 95%, even from a mile away. I've seen single digits on all the the other parts, but 95% on the head since getting his perk. It is indeed bugged. Instead of a 20% increase over what your normal headshot percent should be, it just bumps it to 95%The perk is indeed bugged, and it's a bloody shame at that. Hopefully it's fixed in the first patch.

Look, it's definitely bugged, trust me. If you don't believe me just go ahead and add the perk to your character using a console command. It will make all your VATS headshots have 95% chance to hit.

Someone on the Nexus found that there's an extra couple "0"'s in the code and instead of 20% it's actually giving 2000%. There's a mod there that fixes it back to the 20%
