Mechanic from Bloodborne used?

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 7:30 pm

Just noticed in the Launch trailer that at around 1:30 when the savage deathclaw charged at him. He took one shot right as the deathclaw was in its forward motion of its attack and it stunned it.

For those of you that have played Blooborne you know what I'm talking about. Do you think this is the case or it was just by chance that he stunned it. Would be great if they did use that mechanic because it's I high risk high reward maneuver and will help you control the fight a bit more with a well timed shot.

What that was in Bloodborne was essentially just parrying found in previous Souls games. I doubt it is something Bethesda actually considered as a feature, and it's just a random stun. Be it because it was a critical hit, crippled limb, or some sort of stun/knock back effect from whatever.

Not likely.

It's more of a random stun, knockback. They've been in the previous games as well.

Ahh true. Wishful thinking I guess. Although might of made fights against melee enemies a bit too easy now that I think about it.

The MC most likely just crippled it's head or something, whenever you crippled a NPC's limbs in past games they would do something similar.

Weapons can knock enemies back in Fallout 4. I recall one of the Commando perk tiers increasing knockback chance for automatic weapons.

Wait....fallout 3 already has this though....when you cripple a limb on a deathclaw in fo3 it would stop and flinch back a little bit.

The concept of interrupting an attack is not property of Bloodborne, are you kidding?
