When you start the MegaMek there is version number right above Start a New Game

I downloaded 0.35.16 version...

I have 0.34.9, I'll get the new one now.

Also Saturady is ok with me, I can play anytime after 630 PST (maybe earlier). I'm not sure whats the difference is between GMT and PST though...

PST is just GMT - 7:00

I can play next 6 hours.

If everyone is ok, we do the first mission from the operation (counter recon mission)

So everyone need to split their forces to two groups (one for battle 1 and one for another battle)

Ok Hopefully we have our first game today.

For this operation each player splits his forces so that there is atleast 3 mechs at present at both battles.
Remember, winner takes battlefield salvage!

Battle 1:


Major part of 3rd Davion Guards Made planetfall into Qingyuan’s Yalosha Peninsula, where their recon elements started
securing nearby villages and towns. Same time Northwind Highlanders set their recon and hunter lances for
counter these raids. There is small set of towns near southern tip of valley. Second Battalion of Davion Guards
was assigned to clear this sector. Meanwhile Highlanders aim to flank advancing Davion armored elements.
Highlanders meet Davion recon detachment near two small timber villages. Route Davions and there is clear way
to flank Davion armor spearhead.



Objectives:

I'm not sure if this will be anything final...

Davion:
Capture both villages (Marked 1. and 2. on maps) - This means that Davion needs at least one mech present at both villages at the end of mission. - 3 pts per village
Keep at least 50% of forces combat effective - 2 pts

Highlanders:
Destroy/route Davion forces in the area. - 5 pts
Keep at least 50% of forces combat effective - 3 pts

Looks quite good. I just fear that you don't have enough fire power. (put both urbanmechs to second group! they will fight in city!)

When all four players are online and ready to play.


How you have so small force for 9000 points?


Did you use introductury tech only? Which players are allowed to use on this campaign. Or you just have very good pilots on those machines.

yes, we are using .35.16 for now.


So before I start feeling too drowsy we should start...

After I took second look on this, I really see that your unit lacks real firepower. Catapults sure add nice punch, but thats about it. Jump Platoons make
excellent indirect fire spotters. But Urbies and Fleas are odd combination. I'm not complaining, but Fleas are extremely rare during this era, and Hatchetman is
AFFS made design just before the 4th Succession War. Not that any of these mechs would have been taken as salvage and patched for own use.

I would really consider to adding more "trooper" mechs. Such as Wolverine WVR-6M or Vindicator VND-1R which is used in great numbers on Capellan forces.
If you want Cheap Capellan Assault Mech, pick Charger CGR-1A9. It is fast and mounts several Medium Lasers and single LRM20. Another
Charger variant CGR-1A5, is great for close range combat.

Damn... These sale speeches made me want to add Charger or two to my unit.


How good pilots you are using on those Mechs?

Note: I don't aim to counter opponents force by this. I just wanted to use Mechs I don't use so often, as well as making more lore friendly unit.

Total BV: 8919

Striker Lance:
Spider SDR-5V - 4/5 Pilot
Vindicator VND-1R - 4/5 Pilot
Vindicator VND-1R - 4/5 Pilot
Phoenix Hawk PXH-1D - 4/5 Pilot

Cavalry Lance:
Charger CGR-1A5 - 4/5 Pilot
Cataphract CTG-1X - 4/5 Pilot
Cataphract CTG-1X - 4/5 Pilot
Rifleman RFL-3C - 4/5 Pilot

I might swap CGR-1A5 to CGR-1A9... I'm not sure yet.

Do you guys wanna do a small practice battle to get out all the kinks before next weekend?
Just a small 4 player FFA would be fun if we all only get 2 mechs or something. :/

I propose game with 1500 BV, maximum of 2 Mechs.

Short story was that my command lance got attacked by fanatical elite unit what was trying to revenge
their old commander.

My force had:
Mad Cat MK II
Battlemaster
Thunderbolt
Griffin

Enemy had:
Warhammer
Charger
Black Hawk-KU
Venom

I won the match, and only Griffin was destroyed by ammunition explosion. Mad Cat MK II pilot was critically injured and Battlemaster was crippled by gyro hit and couple critical hits to leg actuators.

Final 8 turns was just my Thunderbolt pilot dueling against Charger. It was epic. Battle ended when Thunderbolt
destroyed Chargers leg on point-blank range with his Light Gauss rifle.

Yes, I do play custom games against AI if I do. I don't play much against AI anyway.

Shh... that's been my plan all along.
I'll have to drop out of this match since I wont be home till 16:00. The only way its possible for me is if its moved to monday.
