Medic Abilites

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 6:34 pm

I really wanna know what other sort of buffs Medics have. Depending on what is available to them, I may specialize my Medic in buffs, rather than efficient healing/reviving.

So right now, it looks my Heavy Medic will be mainly Medic/Universal skills, with the "must have skills," for the other classes, like ammo boxes for Soldier, weapon buff for engy, etc.

In a new preview from QuakeCon http://www.gamespot.com/events/quakecon2010/story.html?sid=6273400&pid=960409&mode=previews

He says this: "...you can use your experience to purchase archetype-specific abilities, such as enhanced healing skills or toxic bioweapons for medics..."

I hope they don't [censored] the Medic up.

I just hope they don't make it so players are choosing Medic just for offensive abilities, and forget that they are a Medic - Like the M60/magnum round Medics in BC2.

This I really hope it doesn't get that bad. I remember running over to a medic and asking for health. Then jumped around him attempting to get his attention. Then he shot me. What a useless (censored).

lol, I've been in games where a Medic would be behind me, I would die, the Medic would stop on my body to shoot, then run to cover and heal himself, never reviving me.

Not only that but they could potentially unbalance the main point of playing different classes. Soldiers and the other classes are primarily focused on offensive abilities where engineers and medics are more focused on support. That doesnt mean they cannot kill people or be offensive be all means they will be able to equip the same guns as anyones else I just dont think they should give them a bunch of offensive abilities or people will pick them primarily for that using there pips for offensive abilities instead of buffings and healing and helping out there team.

Lol ive seen that alot as well as well as done it but not on purpose of course killed the guy then went to revive my teamate and it heals you instead so you run for cover waiting for your heal gun to recharge. Although most times this happens its people not caring about helping the team lol.

I'll actually be on 360. If my PC was in better shape, I would be on PC. I've never been in a position where I had a crappy PC, until now - and it blows.

Lol welcome to my world my friend. I have always envied those who could afford a nice gaming pc with there dedicated servers and all the other benefits. It would be cool if they allowed cross system gameplay for MP (multi platform) games dont you think? Would be cool if you could play MP games with buddies on other system the game was released for. Although I dont know if that would create more issues than it would create fun and ease finding games.

Yea def not PC only consoles of course PC players would have an advantage over Console players with a mouse you dont need testing for that it should be obvious lol. But Xbox/ Ps3 cross platform play could be cool and wouldnt have those issues wouldnt you agree?

Go to a console a forum and say that...The mouse vs controller debate has raged on for centuries...maybe not that long, but there are A LOT of console gamers who believe that a mouse and keyboard, just speaking about speed and precision, has nothing over a controller.

what i was going to say would have ended up getting me flamed.
so i'll just say that proves that humans can be incredibly stupid

(i was going to say that proves the iq of console gamers, but since i have noticed some consolegamers here are pretty smart, i'll assume consoles, just like pc's, have their share of bloody stupid, and incredibly smart players[that and that i would have been flamed made me rethink about my post  ])

Why thank you haha  . Yea each gaming community has there share of idiots PS3,360 and PC alike. Iono how you could argue a mouse wouldnt be more precise than a console controller with all the customization you can do for mouses and keyboards on a Pc. Since I could never afford a gaming rig playing with a key and mouse would feel really akward to me after all this time with gaming controllers.

yw :goodjob:
same for me, i only play games on pc, except for every once in a while i get my ps2 out and do some budokai tenkaichi 3.
if i would play a fps on a controller, i'd fail so miserably i'd end up shooting every wall in sight whenever i spot an enemy
while in some inexplicable way, not landing 1 bullet on the guy i'm trying to hit

I'll be on PS3. Even with the toxic bio weapons, I will always keep the heal/revive skills.
