I love being a support person in every game I play and I have no reason for brink not to be the same. Anybody else planning to main a medic?

Yes, as of right now, I plan on spending the majoirty of my time as a medic too. I could be proven wrong if I take a liking to another class once the game comes out.

Think I will turn out to go mostly for Medic / Soldier :l

But yeah, the ''assassin'' class always sounds interesting

Still can't decide what build to play medic as. Right now I'm leaning towards medium or light but heavy offers its own advantages as well.

I won't play the game at all, so I don't have to decide.

My most played characters are gonna be support builds;
Solider: Super ammo handerouter
Medic: Healer/Buffer
Engineer: Buffer
Operative: ermmmm what can ops do to support others?

Nothing. Operative have no friendly buffs.
They help their team by interacting with the enemy (interrogating, sabotaging, etc.)

Doesn't have to be buffing, could be spotting mines and EMPing crap

I have just heard about this game recently, and I really like the teamwork aspect of it and I like FPS's, so it's right up my alley. ^_^ The only downsides are lack of local co-op and female characters (I'm a female gamer who loves playing as females and play with my sisters and younger cousins) , but it looks really good and reminds me a bit of Borderlands and Battlefield with the classes and teamwork. :D

I usually play medics/healers/supporters in many games (if they allowed it anyway, like Dragon Age Origins, Battlefield, etc), so I would definitely be a healer in this game. (I love to roleplay healers so much that I spend most of the Infamous game healing random people, lol). I mean, "Medic" or, in the case of TV tropes, http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/CombatMedic, heh.

I'm one of those people who believe in cooperating and supporting than being macho and going solo, thus abandoning the team aspect. (Operatives are obviously an exception, though, lol.) Otherwise, what would be the point of a team? =)

The only thing I cannot decide is whether to be medium build or light build. I would have to see gameplay videos or actually try out the Light types to see if the sacrifice of medical supplies and HP is worth the speed.

Well a light may be able to get to downed/injured players faster but cant heal as much because lights have alot less pips to heal , medium can still use smart more then a heavy and has a moderate amout of pips tp heal, and a heavy wont be able to get to people fast but would be a good choice for frontline medic, you can hold your own while dish out alot of meds.

Yes, exactly, it's so hard to choose! All of those different ways to play sound SO awesome! ^_^

I'm going to have to have my hands-on time with the game before deciding. If I like the SMART thing, then I would change into Light, if I like going into the frontline, then Heavy or Medium sound good... Er, we still play Medium build as default, right? Or has that changed?

Pretty sure body type doesnt affect pips... I could be wrong though.

You start as medium and you unlock light and heavy after you level up.

Didn't the Compendium say something that Light bodies cannot hold as much supplies (like medical supplies, ammo, etc), so they cannot use as much abilities as a Medium or Heavy type. Heavy types can carry lots of stuff, so they can use abilities more often.

Or am I mistaken and pips are not related to the amount of abilities to use?

EDIT: Thanks, Dr.Ricktofen! ^_^ So, wait, when I unlock the Light/Heavy Build, do I have to make a new character for that?

No you can change your bodytype but not while in a game only when editing your character.

Ah, okay. I thought body type was permanent to the point of having to make a new character for that build. Thanks for clearing that up, Dr. Ricktofen! ^_^
