Medium Body Type Weapon Recommendations?

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 2:31 pm

I run a medium engineer/medic setup, and use dual bulpdauns (if you have the DOOM pack from preordering from gamestop, you can equip a normal bulpdaun as your primary and the doom version of the gun as a secondary). The bulpdauns give good all-around performance, very good range and accuracy for SMGs, but a little less power up close unless you can keep your aim steady. You have to not panic when someone gets close if you want to make the weapons work.

If you dont want to run dual bulpdauns, or cant, I suggest using a bulpdaun primary and kross secondary.

I use this on my medic class at the moment.

Rokstedi with coga scope muzzlebrake/silencer normal magazine

Good for long/mid range support. I use the normal magazine, so I can get the most out of its stability. I usually don't fire this gun fast enough to make use of the rapid fire anyways.

Tampa with yeotek, speed sling, taped magazines, muzzlebrake/silencer

If I get caught off guard or in close range I rely on the SMG with the quickest reload and quickest swap speed.

My favorite Medium setup is:

Gerund AR
- COGA/Greeneye Scope
- Muzzle Break
- Foregrip

Galactic/Kross SMG
- YeoTek RDS
- Muzzle Break
- Speed Sling
- Extended Mags

Gerund has pin-point accuracy in short bursts which means you can do some good damage at mid-range, as well as it being great for hip-fire at close range or in CQC. It also becomes ridiculously potent when buffed... you can wind up doing anywhere around 80-180 damage PER-BURST, depending on how many bullets hit, how powerful the Engi's buff is, whether you 2 or 3-shot burst, if any were headshots, etc. The Kross/Galactic can be swapped to REALLY quickly and are both accurate and stable, with huge ammo capacities. Basically; go Galactic for more ammo + stability, Kross for more damage + accuracy.

Good for long/mid range support. I use the normal magazine, so I can get the most out of its stability. I usually don't fire this gun fast enough to make use of the rapid fire anyways.

With the standard mag, the Rokstedi fires faster than what it takes for the spread to settle anyway... spam the trigger and bullets are flying EVERYWHERE. Makes Rapid Fire kinda redundant. Gotta say, I've been warming up to the Drognav as an alternative to the Rokstedi... fires quicker and deals a LOT more damage, you just have to deal with the trade-off of low ammo capacity and reserves.

The way I play operatives, I always use the mossington. Once I kill an enemy, I disguise myself as them and sneak behind the defenses. Then I prey on the weak and shotgun them in the back.

oooooeeehh I like!!!!

Btw playing with a medium lately I've only used double smg's. Still haven't decided which I like best. The only one I dislike is the tampa.

I personally go with the Rhett, I love guns with a lot of punch, so I go with the Rhett with a drum mag and sometimes a grip or muzzle break.
That with a Sea Eagle/Ritchie tends to be my favorite combo.

I'm loving some of these class setups I'm seeing.

Personally, i like to roll with the Bulp. Don't get me wrong the Carb-9 is a fantastic weapon over any other SMG but for me the Bulp has some crazy hip fire ability which has saved my brown eye quite a few times.
Followed up with the Barnett Rifle. Yes i feel that confident with the Sniper rifle i run with it for those 'Long shot' moments.

Think of it as a combo, i take down some of the targets health resulting in half if not the full mag has ran dry, switch over to the Barnett with a devastating punch too finish them off.

Bulp - Muzzle Brake/R.Dot/Duct Tape Mags/Speed Sling (For quicker change times)
Barnett Rifle - Muzzle Break/Vanilla Optics

Running 2 characters right now.

Med Soldier/Eng
Euston w Greeneye, Under GL, Muzzle break and drum mag.
Kross w Adj iron sights, Speed sling, Muzzle break and drum mag.

Light Medic/OP
Carb-9 w adj iron sights, grip, drum, muzzle break
Seagle w rapid fire, speed, and greeneye scope.

I liked the Ritchie a lot but that Seagle with rapid fire is simply amazing.

That's because if you're using the Tampa as an SMG, you're doing it wrong.

It's essentially a Machine Pistol for Mediums, it decimates in CQC. I tend to use it if my primary weapon is suited for close/mid-range and I need something to swap to when people are RIGHT in front of me.
