Meet the Devs #2

Post » Wed Aug 19, 2009 5:32 pm

Do you guys ever talk to each other about all the impressive mods that the community has been producing for the Bethesda games? Like Nehrim recently?

It has to be pretty amazing to see what that German team has been able to achieve with the Oblivion engine and resources.

Also I can't find the dwemer puzzle box, help?

Do you ever mod your own TES games?

Or is the subject an overworked mess that you'd rather just play?

4:How much Gatorade/Poweraid have you consumed over the last working year?

5:Who has the best/worst work computer? (Post specs plox)

First of all I just want to say that I really appreciate everything the team at BGS has done with the Elder Scrolls. It is not only my favorite video game franchise, but my favorite everything. No book, movie, or other game's story and lore has captivated me as much as the Elder Scrolls. So, thank you. Thank you for creating the most wonderful world of all time (in this man's opinion) and letting us play with your toys.

Now onto my questions,
1. Were you as sad as me when beards were not in Oblivion? And do you have a beard?
2. What is your favorite Tamrielic race and why? (Dunmer for me)
3. And finally, how many Bosmer does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

In all my years of gaming (16+yrs) I have never spent as much time playing a single game (Tes 4 3K+ hours-That's 3000+-) and I was wondering which game have you dedicated the most game hours to, and have you ever modded for Dink smallwood, or RM2K? (Rpg maker 2000)

Hello Devs!
1) How did you (either if you were in Bethesda from Arena, or just heard from the others) create the lore? How did you create this whole universe? Language, Bestiary, everything? I find it amazing how people just create new worlds (Tolkein, George Martin etc.) with languages and all!

2) Also what have you got (or still do) inspired from?

3) Were there any hilarious moments while making Morrowind, Oblivion or FO3? If yes (probably you did), what were they, or what was one of them?

4) What is a regular day at the office for you?

I think that's all for now! ^^

Where were you 10 years ago from now.?

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

If you weren't a game developer, what do you think you would be?

You're sneaking through a castle dungeon, when suddenly the stone tile you put your foot on makes a mechanical *click* noise, what do you do?

To any Dev, you get the money that we spend on buying your games correct? Well can I ask what you do with the percents you all get when we buy the games?

Does being a game developer ruin your ability to get immersed in other games and truly enjoy them? Do you only see codes, scripts and textures when you play a game, or can you still get into them?

Seeing as the developers are more likely to see it here I, like many others, would like to thank you for the long hours that you have put into this game behind the scenes and for the hard work and commitment that you have put into the TES games. I have every faith in Bethesda to create another mind-blowing game and I hope you too are satisfied with the end product.

Thank You

Tell me... tell me please... tell me about the ability to mod this game... Why did you allow so much access to the components? I realize you have a huge fan base now because of it, but what brought that idea to bear?

If this has been asked, please disregard, but a burning question for me is... Will there be calipers in Skyrim? If so, how many?

if it is January 25, it is cloudy outside, the number 3 had never been invented and you had fishsticks for lunch, how fast would it take the color purple to travel to Jupiter from the 8th dimension?

and really thank you sooooooooo much for announcing the next elder scrolls, for a while we were stuck in purgatory

someone try and have a better question than mine

This is the best Christmas present ever!

I'm so happy, I named my favorite stuffed animal Todd (its a big fluffy Carol from "Where the Wild Things Are"). I think he likes his new name.

I think we should all gather under the mistletoe and have a group hug... so long as I get to stand between princess_stomper and summer! :hugs:

Seriously... this is good news, indeed. Thanks guys!

Is there an official Skyrim abbreviation that devs use?

Edit: And what possible future developments in gaming get you excited?

If it is well known the number of wood that a woodchuck chucked, does it still matter in answering the question how it could?
