Its funny that you'd say that. I managed to skip two years of art fundamentals (sculpting, drawing, painting and the like) because of my portfolio. Which was strictly digital and http://img830.imageshack.us/img830/467/mwconcept7.jpg
Speaking of which. Who drew it? It was done internally, right?
Thats pretty cool. In art I would definitely say portfolio trumps pretty much anything else.
Is there ever a point you reach where you can say, "This is good. I like this," or are you stuck always thinking what you do is terrible?
Yeah, I get to a point where Im satisfied with something enough to let it go eventually, but it takes alot of itteration and ultimately I always know it can be improved. But you have to move on and use what you learned to improve your next piece or you will never finish anything. Ive looked at some of my older work, which I thought was cool at the time and think to miself this was terrible, what was I thinking. But then you think well I wouldnt have grown as an artist if I didnt do those pieces as well.
is there anywhere I can learn texturing/organic modeling?
