Is there an machinima made with the games you make that you enjoy?

Have you ever considered making your own mods (Not DLC but actual mods) and uploading them to community modding sites? (Not just your own games, but any game)

Do any of you guys compete or practice in martial arts? MMA? Jui Jitsu? Wrestling? Boxing? Muay Thai? Judo? etc

I'm an avid fan of the sport and have actually had a few MMA/boxing bouts of my own! Pretty exciting stuff

Every time I see this thread I try and fail to think of a question to ask... so I'll just throw this uncreative one out there for now:

What is your favorite creature in the TES series and why? My personal favorite is the Scrib, not only because they're one of the only non-hostile things on Vvardenfell, but because they're also extremely adorable. Hopefully Skyrim has a similar non-hostile creature. The deer in Oblivion paled in comparison to the almighty Scrib.

Don't let this Thread die!! I love getting on here and reading this information.

I registered just to keep the thread alive and ask a question.

QUESTING - RELATING TO OTHER QUESTS AND CHARACTERS
I played Morrowind, Oblivion, and FO3. In Morrowind the quests seem to tie into each other, and characters would react to you if you were doing or had finished a quest that involved them. In Oblivion, the characters still reacted, but nothing seem to tie into each other. In Fallout 3 I felt completely abused at how separate everything felt.

For Example: Gob (the bartender) in Megaton gives you a quest to find his daughter (i think). So I find his daughter in this palace/house in downtown. Do the quests there, talk to her. It gives me the ability to talk to her about Gob, and relay the message. Good so far, but when I return to Megaton and go to talk to Gob, there is nothing I can say?!?!?! Shouldn't I at least tell him I gave the message to her (then killed her :-) )? This felt incomplete, and took me away from the world I was in. I would have also like to see someone in the bar comment, on how nice it was that I came back to tell Gob the news (or something like that). Just to tie it all together!

With the amount of quests, I would like to see more fluidity between characters and quests. Not so linear in the fact that once the quest is done, it is forgotten by all who was involved and the surrounding NPCs.

My question is: Do you feel like this (above statement) is an important aspect of the game or is having MORE quests better? I enjoy them regardless, but I think relationships that build/create through multiple quests adds to the games realism and fantasy.

What are your thoughts?

Do you guys tend to have more fun working on TES or Fallout games? How does the fun in creating Skyrim compare with the fun in creating the past TES games?

Going off of the "Decrypting The Elder Scrolls" article on GI.com, he created the Thieves Guild questline.

As Tuch pointed out, I worked on the Thieves Guild for Oblivion. I know those characters best. Although I have to give credit to Emil Pagliarulo for creating the Hieronymus Lex character.

I can't say that one is more fun than the other. After a steady diet of chocolate ice cream, I like switching to vanilla. About the time the fun of Oblivion was wearing thin, we started on Fallout 3. When the fun of Fallout 3 began to pale, we started working on Skyrim. I'd hate to be locked into to just one franchise.

I really love the name "Hieronymus Lex."

Bungie claim to have the best snacks in the business. What do you guys pig out with as you make the game of the year? Also do devs really observe fan forums for ideas and demands pre-production? Keep working hard Bethesda!

Are there things in your games (Such as Oblivion or Fallout 3) that you wish you wouldn't have done? Can you give me some examples.

As game developers, you obviously have quite clear opinions on other games.

* What is your favourite game of all time?

* Do you feel there are any games that above all others have influenced your role as a developer, both in ideas for the TES and Falllout franchises?

* What was the biggest 'wow' moment from another franchises (games/movies etc.) that you then wanted (did?) to place into previous TES games?

How can I be a voice over actor for your games? (I am an actor, just want the secrets :-))

Do you always hire local talent (for lowly NPCs) or do you guys have studios around the country that produce your VO work?

Do you think a game (maybe one you create) would ever have a feature to allow you to do your own VO work using an in-game editor? (sort of like making your own song in Guitar Hero games)
This would be cool! Record your own voice saying hundreds of line of dialoge that YOUR character will then say to other people in the game...... THAT WOULD BE EPIC!

Thanks for your time!

I am also an aspiring programmer. One question that I am really curious about when it comes to programming games in general is that when writing the code for whenever it interfaces with the OS if that is contained in a generic object that could then contain code that has specific commands for say Windows, or the OS of Xbox 360 or Playstation 3.

Is there anything radically different for the OS of the consoles compared to the PC?

Is there ever a need to write any assembly-code for the x86 instruction set?
